TBH League has the worst levelling experience i have ever done. My main is g1 93lp and i decided to level up a smurf. Every single game there is either a troll/afk or a smurf. It is the most un enjoyable thing to play. Im fine with smurfs occasionally because i also do it but the trolls and afks just dont get punished at all so they do it again and again. I played 5 games today and in total had 6 afks. This is not right at all.
But you're a smurf as well. Why wouldn't you predominately see only smurfs?

honest question: why not stay till you get platinum since you're that close to the promos and then make a smurf to fool around with?
also the system can detect smurfing since the click patterns and what have you are different from outright new players so it puts you up against other smurfs
Just leveled a new account up to 30 myself. Also a gold player on my main.
Didn't have any of your problems honestly. I must just be really lucky. I very rarely got afk's, and it didn't take long at all before I was playing people around my skill level, even when all accounts were sub lvl 30. I did enjoy the 20 games or so where the game though I was a legit new player and I was stomping with like.. janna support.
I always am suspicious that the people who make these complaints are somewhat toxic in general, and their toxicity becomes the reason that people afk or "Run it down mid" in their games. I just honestly have come across these things so infrequently over my thousands of games played that it seems odd.
Though I suspect that if I raged at people for dying lvl 1, or called people out on any little mistake i perceived, I'd probably get more people going rage mode and afk'ing etc in my games. Not to suggest, ofcourse, that you do any of those things.
Yeah I may make a trash troll account, because thats all this community is worth. Something to screw around with. This community has gotten so spoiled, entitled, and completely full of themselves that they think ANYTHING that -they- dont personally approve of is considered "Trolling". DOnt play the champion they want? trolling! dont play the "meta" champ and want to play off meta? TROLLING get 4v1'ed by the enemy team CC'ed to a standstill and passed around while your teammate stands next to you and watches? "you are a troll and an inter and need to be banned. snag a kill the teammate gave up on? well you are just a pathetic killstealer that needs to be banned.
So yeah, anything that isnt kissing this community's ass is considered "Trolling" and if thats the case, then Yeah I am gonna make a full on "Troll" account. Because maybe I can convince others to uninstall this game. Riot doesnt care about making a GOOD game, they dont want a TEAM game. they want a collection of spoiled preschoolers and toddlers who think they are Faker Ver. 2.0.
And I call them Preschoolers and toddlers because thats how they act. As soon as something doesnt go thier way, you can visibly see them dropping to the ground, grinding the game to a halt, and kicking and screaming about how hard you are "Trolling" untill they get thier way. And when you try and tell them to grow up and just play the damn game, they will "potato sack" (completely go limp and just pout there) and be forced to be dragged to the end of the match. Again looking like a toddler who has to be dragged out of the toy aisle when they want X toy and parents dare to say "no you cant have that"
That is what I see when i look at what this community has become. Spoiled, entitled, completely full of themselves, and at this point, Yeah if I can manage to convince others to leave by "trolling" then I guess i better get to work....
