Teh Scourge of Co-Op vs AI

I've been chillaxing and grinding out some bot games in between fits of depression and sleep, and I've noticed something incredibly strange. In 75-80% of the games I play there, there is at least one "player" that runs smite/heal on random champs like Kalista/Kat/Annie and flop around in the jungle, waiting for the game to end. I'm almost certain that these aren't humans, since one would have at least asked for help OR went to a lane when towers began to fall. One game in particular had me paired with a single actual player, forcing us to 2v5 a bot game.

Don't take this as me complaining, I enjoy the challenge. I am a bit concerned for the newer players though, since getting paired with more than one of these bots can spell a heck of a bad time for them. Is there anything being done about these artificial players, or is Co-Op vs AI completely overlooked?

Attached is a screenshot of the last game I played. Mad props to this bro for holding out with me. Was a hell of a ride. <3

Yeah, it's a thing. As far as I know, Riot does ban these accounts as often as they can be proven to be bots, but the nature of the free-to-play format is such that the person behind the botting can easily make new ones. It's an endless, losing game of whack-a-mole.

No, I've seen those, too. It's annoying-- especially since it drags out what should be an easy win.

Personally, I see it as community service: I report them and they get wiped next ban wave.

Yeah there are a ton of bots in those game modes.

I'm pretty sure people are reporting them, and riot knows easy way to spot bots, but they only ban them in waves, this to make it more difficult for the bot programmers to know how they got caught.

That's quite awkward. Wasn't a fight over who wanted to be jungle?

How long did the match last?

It shouldn't be difficult to create an algorithm to much more efficiently sift these accounts out. Eventually they will peter off because they get nowhere, in theory.
