Getting a “Leaver” result despite playing?

This may get complicated so bare with me on this post...

Earlier today I played a Co-op match and, after the loading screen had finished its job, found myself unable to play the game due to my ping ranging anywhere from 112 to 560 ms. Normally my ping doesn’t run that high so I figured I would reset my router and get back in the game no worries. Keep in mind that I was having these issues the moment I landed in the Rift and it took about five minutes for my router to decide it was going to finish connecting (U-Verse definitely not a good isp for League) and was back in at around the seven-minute mark. I still had latency issues but decided to press on through the remainder of the game regardless. The game lasted a little under 21 and a half minutes and I was disconnected for about a third of that.

The postgame lobby is where I noticed something interesting. Where the result would normally say “Victory” or “Defeat” it instead said “Leaver.” I was not given any xp for the match, despite playing well over half of the elapsed game time, and could not communicate with the others in the postgame lobby chat. I went to my match history but it shows “Victory instead of “Leaver” like it did in the post-game lobby.

TLDR- I guess what I’m asking is was I tacked a “Leaver” status despite finishing the game and participating fully after I reconnected at the 7:00 mark or was it a UI post-game glitch? If the former is the case I feel like this might be an unintended result of cracking down on rage-quitting players. I know I would be asking a lot for a response on this issue, at least on the boards, but I figured I would at least give it the ol’ college try.

Thank you for your time.

Sounds like some kind of bad joke.

I mean... The person that actually leaves wouldn't be around to see that so...

Could you post a video of the game? Or at least the ending of the game?
