25-game chat restriction

I havent really posted that I can remember but player support referred me to this page.

I received a 25-game chat restriction about a month ago and I am pretty sure I have played over 200 games since and have only made it to 1 of 3 - Honor 0.

I generally am not toxic and have been playing for probably 6+ years with no previous bans. I had a lapse in judgment one night and responded to some players after being flamed repeatedly. I should have muted them but they got the best of me.

Its disappointing that one night, maybe 1-2 games can destroy my Honor 4 and effectively my entire season as I just had reached gold in all 3 playlists. So many people in this community are toxic and it's difficult to avoid confrontation.

200+ games since the restriction and I'm no where close to reaching Honor 2. I dont talk back to anyone anymore. I have no excuse for the poor judgment in those games but it doesnt reflect my 6+ year history.

Guess I'm just looking to get better insight on this and any possibility of still being able to earn rewards. 2 games versus 1000s of clean communication.

It means you’re still toxic. Sorry but I don’t believe you.

I was chat banned, twice, resulting in honor 0 in the beginning of August. I’m almost at checkpoint 2 (hit honor 1, checkpoint 3 last week).

Email customer service and ask them to investigate. Chances are, your honor growth rate is still at a reduced level. You’re still being negative, and validated reports are still hitting your account.

I’ve played less than 200 since then and have higher honor than you. It’s not about the games, it’s the trend you have to show

They have a FAQ for this. It's not about the number of games you've played, it's about displaying your reform.

Just how that happens, well that's up to Riot to decide.

Yo going thru these comments. The lot of you all for "appluading" Riot. Are actually super passive aggressive. Lmao.

And that manipulative higher archy attitude to me at least is so much more toxic than some kid having a bad game.

"'Nevermore' cried the Raven." 1845, Edgar Allen Poe. Which is thankfully older than this post, and an indication of the post's locked state.

Please don't necro old threads, or poems, for that matter.

Dude, your logic is so flawed.

By that logic, someone could argue in court:

"your honor, yes I killed that person, but that was only once. I only murdered someone on 1 day of my total 9125 days I've been alive. How should 1 day ruin my rest of my life if on 9125 other days I was a good, law abiding citizen, and did not murder anyone?"

Deal with it.

Its not easy.

I didn't imply you did. I listed an example as when one offense will get you punished, I never said you did. In fact, I'm sure your punishment is the results of accumulated valid reports against you, and not just this one game.

Which leads to the conclusion that you're not just a one time offender, but generally a toxic or offensive person, and hence finally Riot had enough and punished you. Which I applaud Riot for, punishments so close before season ends are the sweetest.
