because people are idiotic and think that making fun of disabilities and other stuff you really can't control is fun

Happens to me a lot too. But, I have depression, not Dyslexia. I met LOADS of people with Dyslexia, and I treated them like normal people, because they are. I hope you did the same bro, if yes, mad respect.

Also one thing to note is that are famous people out there that are know to have disabilities. And look what they accomplished. Satoshi Tajiri (the creator of pokemon for people who don't know) has autism and look what he accomplished. And he's just one of many, (I'd put more but the list would be too long). So don't let someone put you down and call you stupid just for being you.

While true that a lot of people with disabilities want to be treated normally and don't want hands held... can we truly say this is true for everyone?

No, we can't. The one thing that most of us can agree on though is that we don't need people fighting our battles for us all the time. A lot of people with disabilities can fight their own battles fine. Sure, there are those who can't, but let's not start defending everyone just because one person can't do it themselves.

Also, did you know a lot of people with disabilities need a little hand holding? We don't need it 24/7 or for everything, but for certain things we do need a hand to hold to be able to function well enough. I for one can't leave my house alone without running the risk of having an anxiety attack, so if I go anywhere I do need someone with me. Especially if I need to speak with someone, as my anxiety can make it so I can't talk at all no matter how hard I try.

Should they have made fun if the dude? No.

Did the dude need to tell everyone he was dyslexic? Also no.
