When Is A Person Doing More Than Just "Having a Bad Game"?

Hey, guys.

I just wanted to hear your opinions on something that has been nagging me ever since the "Report for Unskilled" feature was removed. We've all had games where someone has gone 2-20-3 or something similar. A game where someone has died far too many times to be considered a "bad game" whether you think they are intentionally feeding to troll or not.

Have you ever reported someone for intentional feeding when the death count just got TOO high to be fairly classified as just a "bad game"? Where someone has died 15+ times with little to no kill participation (including assists)?

IIRC, the "unskilled" report option was just a way to siphon bogus reports into the bit bucket - it has never been against any rules to be bad at the game.

Inting takes a lot more than death count to prove. Drop a bronze player into a game with challengers (or more likely, challenger smurfs), and watch as they go 0/22/1. The thing about inting is that it requires proving intent, and you really need to look at a replay to do that.

FWIW, I never report for feeding unless someone's behavior is blatant - like running straight down the lane into the turrets, stuff like that. If you report based on postgame stats, you're just asking for your reports to be meaningless.

False reports generally don't hold onto an account, so if they're feeding thats fine. report and move on, just please don't flame them.

Where as false reporting doesn't penalize you directly, over time your report becomes less weighed. Boy who cried wolf basically

I agree, for the most part. It's one thing to have a bad game, but it's another thing to not care that you're having a bad game. In terms of teammates' play experience, the latter is just as bad as intentionally feeding--to the point where it's actually pretty difficult to distinguish between the two. I make a detailed argument for punishing careless feeders on my post: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/6qUT19A0-intentional-vs-careless-feeding I would be interested in hearing your opinion on the strike system that I propose there.
