Please Define "Griefing" and "giving up", Does forcing the team to surrender count?

Several games today, but also in the past, players will die less then 3 minutes in, and then instantly start the generic "ff 15" "its lost" "surrender go again" ect.

Then continue to die over and over while constantly forcing the surrender vote when its off cooldown, we have all seen this done.

Surrendering because 1 player is having a bad game, and then out of ego they will not try because they think getting a surrender is a personal ego victory for them, should be punishable yes? As in you have the option to report people for giving up..... yet give them the option to give up.

Can we have some definition on this? What point are they punished.

From what I have seen, I could join a game, do badly and die a few times, then just keep telling people to surrender, and then die a few more times - not directly inting but making no effort to actually win just to force the team to surrender, and then when they do, You get off completely free. You have ruined the game for 5 other people, and its totally fine, like Riot couldnt care less because you bought a few items so it looked like you was trying.

When do they look at your 0 / 16 bot lane forcing the surrender and think... ok we should do something?

The surrender option also is Ironic since that is you giving up, which is an option to report someone. You can argue its a negative attitude too. But lets be honest i doubt no one gets punished for it. I was looking at one persons profile, convinced it was inentional, the feeding and making us give up since he gave their kog such a huge lead. No it was the 4th game in a row he had over 10 deaths 0 kills and 3 assist, yet there he is, playing like normal.

Im only silver 1, so maybe its not important at this level, but maybe thats why so many people grind so long... people can ... do what they want, unpunished.

As in you have the option to report people for giving up..... yet give them the option to give up.

The report option is titled Negative Attitude, and the subtitle is Griefing, giving up, etc.

What it means is Negative chat behaviors, such as passive-aggressiveness, defeatism, excessive complaining, and so on.

It does not refer to using the Surrender feature. If it was against the rules to Surrender, then the option to vote for it wouldn't be in the game.

From what I have seen, I could join a game, do badly and die a few times, then just keep telling people to surrender, and then die a few more times - not directly inting but making no effort to actually win just to force the team to surrender...

If you're deliberately making no effort to succeed so as to make your team Surrender, then you'd get a 14-day ban for Intentional Feeding/Gameplay Misbehavior.

And if you're constantly telling people to Surrender over and over and over ad nauseum - assuming you're actually trying instead of the aforementioned trolling - you could incur a chat restriction.

When do they look at your 0 / 16 bot lane forcing the surrender and think... ok we should do something?

Assists exist. If you're going to reference KDA, put in the A.

Second; KDA isn't the say-all, end-all, be-all for determining intentional feeding. It is wholly possible to get your ass handed to you so hard that you wind up in hard-negatives.

If you report someone for Intentional Feeding, they will be reviewed for Intentional Feeding. If they weren't intentionally feeding - Intentional being the operative word there - then they won't get punished. It has to be proven without a shadow of a doubt that they intended to feed to ruin the game, elsewise, no punishment can be given.

The surrender option also is Ironic since that is you giving up, which is an option to report someone.

Again; the subtitle on the report screen isn't literal. Players are allowed to Surrender. What players are not allowed to do is spread negativity and defeatist attitudes in the chat.

as per wikipedia:

"A griefer or bad faith player is a player in a multiplayer video game who deliberately irritates and harasses other players within the game (trolling), using aspects of the game in unintended ways.[1] A griefer derives pleasure primarily or exclusively from the act of annoying other users, and as such is a particular nuisance in online gaming communities, since griefers often cannot be deterred by penalties related to in-game goals.[2] This creates a strong division between griefing and cheating, since cheating is done with intent of winning the game and thus is discouraged by in-game penalties."

meanwhile, "giving up" would constitute actions that show that a player has "given up" on the game, such as intentionally feeding, constantly surrendering, afk farming, and griefing, just to name a few.

You have ruined the game for 5 other people

How did you come up with this math? :D

Also Rito does not give a fck about gameplay offenses, make him write "kys" in chat, instant punishment! Chat is what matters, not the game!
