Hacked account, then banned for "third party software" use

Svart Vrede - Summoner Stats - League of Legends

I played a few games yesterday, then i left my client running while i went AFK. Now i return to my computer to see "your account has been logged in from a different location." and i think "that is impossible.

I have NEVER played on a separate computer besides this one, on this IP, so this is clearly a hack. I log in to my email connected to this account and i see an automated email from RIOT stating that i have been banned for third party program use. This is of course very clearly not done by me since i just got hacked.

I am the only owner of the account and can provide anything to prove i am the real owner. Is there a history of this occuring? do i have any chance of getting this resolved?

(you can see in my op.gg link the game the hacker played, soraka, a champ, i believe, i have never played ever.)

EDIT: Check the most recent game, look at the stats etc. It is pretty clear cut to me that the hacker used a bot or something, that soraka barely took part of the game with 1.7k damage done.

EDIT 2: I also have a very secure google email, which is connected to the account, that requires direct control of my phone to log in. So i could not have been breached on my email either.

EDIT 3: i got my account ban reversed by talking with riot, they could determine i was not taking part in the 3 party software use

Your account's security is your own responsibility. This comes included with the caution of using safe and unique credentials for your league account, as well as any malware or other key-logging instances that might have been snuck into your computer unawarely.

Run a secure version of anti virus, don't use the same passwords on all databases, don't fill in your info on unknown / unofficial sites. Just use common sense, and your account should stay all fine and secure.

OP, I'm assuming your account wasnt bought or anything? I'd send a ticket in to riot and see if they can help you out. I cant guarentee they will unban you but I've seen them do it out of courtesy for one time for some people.

If it was true riot would know that. Ip isnt the only way to know if an account is shared.

[(https://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=Awood2009)] I have the same thing done to me right now. As an Iron 1 player, I could never get 233 cs nor do I ever play Top Lane unless I have to and I only play ranked very rarely. It also shows that I go from Iron 1 to Bronze 2 in one match as a 233 cs Irelia that I never really play. I give you permission to view my stats and matches to prove that I was hacked and am also a victim of a hacked account and banned for 3rd Party Software that I have never used in my life nor have I trusted anything that I would consider harmful. The only thing with my account was I was able to log on with my old password (I changed it a few hours ago) but it showed that I was in a match as Irelia and was unable to connect to the match (b/c I guess it had ended). After I was finally able to get my account back, I played a couple of matches as Lee Sin jungle and Karthus support in unranked draft, took a break to eat and I log back on to see that I was banned for 3rd Party Software. Not to mention that whoever hacked my account had used my Riot Points to purchase a bunch of skins leaving me with roughly 100 RP out of roughly 2800 RP, my saved skins through the loot tab had all been gone and my credit card info was deleted as well.

I got the exact same problem. Coming back to LoL after a long time break and ending up getting hacked and permanently banned for using third party software. Just wanted to let you know that this might be more common than we think. Also made a ticket but does it really take one month before a response?

I've just had the same thing, but without time away apart from a couple of weeks at most. I've submitted my ticket and crossed my fingers, since I've had this account since beta!

A little off topic, but I see this reason for a ban come up a lot and was wondering: is there actually a large percentage of people who compromise accounts to trst third party software on them? I’ve always assumed this punishment was just a blanket punishment for any kind of account sharing/boosting activity, too.
