New player being abused

So Im new to LOL and have played a number of games. (Im level 14) So I had a bad game, and a few of my teammates got mad. I've told them before the game and they were fine with it, how every they start to get very toxic. After the game they were calling me noob which I replied "yeah because i am". he keeps pooking at me saying go "play mindcraft" ect. I didn't like it so I call them out saying, ''then why don't you stop smurfing and stfu''. He replied with ''report abused'' which i ask him for what? and thats when everything when to hell.... litrally the whole lobby started become toxic. The other team start calling me noob too, but one of them said why are you picking on a noob for? he was the only reasonable person there. I finally had enough and reported both of my teammate for abusing language or something and left.

IDK why I keeps getting matched with high level players, its annoying and I can't Improve. Every game I keep getting flank, even in my own turrent.

Welcome to League of Legends. This isn't the most friendly community. Just creative. However, you just have to find the right people. Like you'd do anywhere on the internet.

My best suggestion is to know to keep muted and not to add. If you enjoy this game, don't let these people bring you down.

I'll enlighten you on something. Bear in mind that the majority of these low level players who are extremely abusive are mostly banned players. So they're quite angry. You're in worst part of the game at this very moment. It does get SLIGHTLY better, but not so much. I mute a lot of players. So even old players get abused.

Know you're not alone. But don't become them.

Tips. Go to Op.GG and review your champion skills, items, and routine. Go look up youtube tutorials and learn from here. I still do!

Also, know your best role. Sometimes a certain role just clicks and you get better.

Good luck!!

Just so you are aware, don't worry about people blindly reporting you. All a report does is to flag the system to review the game for inappropriate behavior.

If you didn't do anything wrong, the system won't store that game into your behavioral history.

You've just gotta learn to play with them in your games, and try not to become them. A lotta good points have been mentioned already, so I can't give much, but good luck. Best bet is to report and mute them, and then just move on without letting them get to you.

League is more enjoyable if you can find some friendly players to queue with! As you play by yourself you'll find people here and there that kept their cool or were helpful despite the game not going as well as it could've. Try and become friends with these people and maybe queue with them; eventually you'll have enough for a full five person team (and then some extra people to spare)!

Also, just starting out is one of the hardest and worst experiences of League, especially when you're going against players who aren't genuinely new to the game. It does get slightly better (although this community can be rather toxic even as you become more experienced) but there are good people out there too :)

Playing and studying are the keys to improving in this game, so keep playing, try to have some fun where you can, and don't be afraid to use various resources (guides, friends, streamers, etc.) to aid in your improvement at the game! [sg-syndra]

The usual guideline to follow here is: If someone annoys you, mute them (can be done via the tab menu, that also allows muting their pings and emotes if those annoy you), don't speak to/with/about them in chat (even in post-game-lobby), and report them for their behavior after the match (can be done with the exclamation mark behind the annoying person's name). After you have reported someone, forget the dude, because you are most likely never going to meet him again in game (not because he got punished, but because of the large player pool. Well, if we are fortunate, the annoyance will actually get punished too and that will hopefully allow him to learn to behave better - but that is wishful thinking, so .. just forget them afterwards.)

Why this kind of guideline? It is for your protection; if you talk back, you risk being reported yourself and potentially getting your account permanently suspended.

Just mute all and ignore chat after game. It isn't really worth getting worked up over.

This also happened to me when I started playing LoL 6 months ago for the very first time, I legit had no idea how to play, even someone as simple as Ahri. People just called me a noob, even 1 of my 2 friends called a noob as well, but he is a toxic person in general, I haven't chat with him in months. Don't let people like that destroy your motivation to play, there are good people playing this game, one of my closest friends I made in LoL, he is probably the nicest person I met. As you become better you will prove people like those wrong.

People still call me a noob in ARAM, All Random All Middle is a game mode where no one chooses their champion and the map is just Middle lane without any flanking paths. It's a great way to try out a new champion, if you want to try out something new. People call me a noob for doing bad with a champion I never played, or by "picking" that champion when I have no choice, but to play him. Why are people getting mad in ARAM of all modes, it's not like everyone knows how to play all champions...

There are three major kinds of players you'll meet at your level: 1 - People same level as you 2 - People playing on a lower level account than their main due to smurfing 3 - People playing on a lower level account than their main due to main getting banned

Unfortunately due to moderating smurfs/toxicity in lower levels being practically impossible, it will just be something you're going to have to (and we all have) go through.

Oh, but guys, I thought Riot had this magic algorithm that separates new players from experienced low level players! It doesn't actually keep them separate? I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.

I love this. Eventually everyone is pissed and leave this game lol
