Analyzing games in low elo
[slayer-pantheon-popcorn] grab some popcorn, this gonna be intense
So I went from B2 to S2 playing most of the time my main and using calm analyzing methods to identify what needs to be done in order to win. Game sense and the ability to analyse in low elo is very useful. The only problem is when you want to tell your team what needs to be done. Now I don't want to dive into low elo player behavior, but important is tilt and the ego. Example:
Top lane:
(2|0|1) vs
(0|3|0)
Jungle:
(1|0|0) vs
(1|0|0)
Mid:
(0|2|0) vs
(1|0|1)
Botlane is not important for this scenario.
You're Twisted Fate and you win the lane against Talon. Vayne is losing against Nasus, Kha'zix helped top and Warwick helped mid. Something needs to be done toplane or else Nasus will get more kills and destroys everything in late. The problem now is when Vayne doesn't cooperate or titled. Not accepting the failures of oneself and starting being toxic will lead to a lose. This situation needs to be carefully addressed because you need to show Vayne her mistakes, without being toxic or letting her faith in that game decrease even more. Maybe she is pushing too fast so Kha'zix is ganking often, she has no wards placed or she doesn't know how to play against a Nasus. You now need to encourage her to not tilt, quit or troll. Depending on the matchups you can directly help. In this example you as Twisted Fate can coordinate a gank with warwick, by telling Vayne to slow push and then go ganking using your ult. Important is to let Vayne get the kills. Vayne is behind, while you're a head, so if she gets the kills its possible to turn the tides top. This was one example where you're doing fine, but someone else is behind. Now lets talk about ego. Let's use the example from above for this one. You're ahead and can keep killing Talon. Problem when you're ahead is that the enemy is more focused than you. Often players are loosing concentration when they are ahead. If you're the one that's the analyst and the carry of the game, then you need to be even more cautious about yourself then the game. Always analyse yourself before the game. But what should you do when someone else in your team is too greedy? Again, like the first scenario, try talking to them. If they can see their errors, it's fine. If not, then you're gonna have a hard time.
What I'm trying to tell you is the importance of persuasion. Analyzing doesn't win you games. Using the information from the analysis and converting them into a win is the real challenge. And when you try to convert it, you need to tell your team what to do. Communication is a key part of winning. _Or you're in low elo, play a hard carry as a main and use the info to solo carry _ [leblanc-funny]
Authors note: I'm no pro, challenger or even a gold player. This post only shows the experience I got from analyzing my bronze and low silver games. If you don't agree, find it funny, think I'm stupid, or want to laugh at a low elo player making guides; write a comment [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
