Post-14 day ban...

It's been 3 days since I has to inquire about my ban and it's left me with nothing but my thoughts for some time. So I might have been a pretty nasty player and deserved a ban for my actions, but the time spent in thought has left me with some saddening thoughts.

  1. Maybe League isn't the same as it once was. I do not appreciate that as a player my only way of having true fun is to enter the ranked system. I do have friends that I like to play with but not all of them enjoy playing ranked as I do. On the flip side, I feel as though players in normal games do not take them as seriously as I do, and I'm not saying it's a bad thing. When I say not as seriously I am more referring to the high amounts of inconsiderate players who lock players into troll games. This pair of issues puts me at odds with my friends and it sickens me.

  2. Riot needs to add a new section to their Summoner's code if they do not have it. I have seen many players lock in troll picks without even asking the other players on their team if they are okay with this. This happens more often with Duos queueing up, and when it doesn't work out, some players try to forfeit the game. They then get trolled by that duo and forced to stay in game. This just creates lots of salt and hostility that is unhealthy for the community.

That's all my thoughts and I think they are fairly valid. Please note I wrote this from a very cool headed place and I harbor no upset from my ban.

The problem seems to lie in with you. You were the one who thinks your only means of having fun is only playing Rank, how is that Riots Fault? and just because play differently, or sees the game in a different light doesnt mean they are trolls. Ive seen people get called a troll just by picking a certain champion in a role not associated with that champion. Thats not being a troll its going off-meta. And while it is risky its never against the rules. I would rather someone pick a champion they know/are use to playing than picking a champion they rarely know for the sake of staying in the meta. Especially in Rank matches you want to play the best you can. You cant do that if you are picking champions you dont know well.

The thing is though, you can never know if a person is a troll till you get into the game, and by that time its too late. They cant make it to where if this happens to you, you can just end the game and not get any sort of repercussions because everyone would abuse it. People's main goal when playing (in Rank mostly) is to Win and rank up. People will abuse this to get to that goal and there is no way Riot could control that even if they had an automated system to combat that. There is just too many games going on at once, with too many players to handle. They can barely get Reports down right and you expect them to try and handle something as big as trolls?

This is sadly how Free-to-Play games work. There is nothing that can be done mainly for the fact that anyone can make an account(s) as many time as they want. This is why botting is a problem, why trolls and toxic people get away with what they do. They just make a new account (alt account) and break the rules because the only "bad" thing that can happen is have that account ban, and since its not their main account, and how easy it is to make an account they are always going to be here!

people say anything not in the meta as a troll pick and that just stops a good bit of the fun.

League is a shit community. I played a game with my girlfriends friend, I knew she was a shit player who didnt like toxicity.

Well during our team fights she (graves) would literally just sit there at the edge and do nothing during or after the fight and just die

our fizz kept joking, theres our graves, AFK again.

She reported him for this, spent 15 minutes arguing with him, and then just roaming around doing nothing. I dont think fizz did anything wrong, but pretending that he did, she should get banned too for being a fucking pussy.

We dont need people who get upset over the game and ruin it for others because they dont want to use the fucking mute function.

If you get a troll in a normal game think of it as a challenge that helps you better prepare for ranked. You're going to get trolls in ranked too so it's important that you learn how to adjust your playstyle to win even when one of your teammates isn't very useful.

Also, if you think the person is going to troll you just dodge the queue. Better to waste 5 minutes of your time than 20+. It's not like you lose LP in normal games.
