The most unfair punishment

Riot doesn't remove punishments that are placed correctly. Hell, sometimes incompetent support does not remove punishments that are placed incorrectly.

People often mistake "correctly" for "fairly". It doesn't work that way. There is a post somewhere nearby with an annoyed guy complaining that he had an Olaf, who didn't change his behaviour after the permaban. For most people permaban is a big shock, which is probably one of the reasons Riot loves it.

Some people quit the game, some people reform and play on a different account. Many won't do either, because the punishment doesn't fit what they did. No matter how hateful and abusive they were, permaban would always feel too much.

Permabanned players will not feel like they are the bad guy, they feel abused and offended. They feel like they are victims.

There are many reasons not to practice permabans for chat and actively look for alternatives, but this might be the main one - it always sends the wrong message, even when the punishment itself might be deserved.

Riot does remove certain punishments that are placed incorrectly.

A few weeks ago the client stopped working properly and would not load me in-games, giving me both leaverbuster and taking away my LP, I contacted support, and after a few back and forth messages, with me giving them the files they requested while them telling me what to do, my game got fixed, so all the remaining leaverbuster games got removed, and also reset to 0, so instead of getting a 20 min penalty for 5 games the instant an issue comes up, I'm back to "needs multiple quits before a punishment and even then it's just the lowest tier of punishment".

the case you linked looks pretty straightforward to me...

Permabanned players will not feel like they are the bad guy, they feel abused and offended. They feel like they are victims.

what's your point?

There are many reasons not to practice permabans for chat a actively look for alternatives, but this might be the main one - it always sends the wrong message, even when the punishment itself might be deserved.

the message is pretty obvious:

"we don't want you playing our game. go away!"

the fact that people are too addicted to the game/entitled to get the point is not riot's problem

Two days ago, your account was locked for suspicious activity. You complained that it would be a week before you got your account back, if ever.

One day ago, you were back to posting screen caps complaining about Riot's policies. Your initial ban thread hasn't been touched.

Your match history shows zero days in which you weren't playing League over the past week.

So, as you continue to dredge up third-hand complaints from months or years past to prove that Riot support doesn't handle their job well, your first-hand experience seems to have been an extremely efficient fix on their part that you've not even mentioned.

Generally, if you're spreading things like hate speech or kys, it can trigger you to get punished. The rest of his logs aren't particularly good either. Also, this post is from a month old.

Generally if they have colors other than red on their name, they are a moderator in some capacity.

True. Im sure many people feel like victims when they are permabanned. At least for americans, I'm sure. But probably regardless of nationality. Wish their parents taught them about rules and consequences a little better. But a lot of parents would rather sit their kids down in front of a TV, or have them play video games, because kids can get very annoying. This is the price we pay. Entitled people who cant take responsibility for their actions and think of themselves as victims when their actions fuck them.
