Progression of Punishment and the Tribunal

Okay. So I've noticed something recently that may be a concern. I've been punished on my "main account" way too often, most of the time, for telling my teammates to essentially "shut up and play the game". The Tribunal honestly sends out way too many punishments for this specific thing. Yes, I sometimes get to be a little more toxic, but nowhere near the levels of these other players, yet I get the severe punishment and they get the slap on the wrist. This needs to be fixed. Instead of giving the person who said "shut up and play" a punishment, give them a message that says "Hey, thanks for trying to better the community, but try to stray from being toxic as well, k? K good, thanks." as a way to reward them and warn them at the same time.

Now, here's the other thing I've noticed. The punishment progression for toxic behaviour is crazy. First, you start off with a 10-game chat restriction. For those who don't know, a chat restriction completely blocks you from talking to the enemy team in all chat, and limits the number of messages you can send in game to your team to a maximum of three at the beginning of the game, and one extra every four minutes. Back on track, this 10-game chat restriction is supposed to act like your "slap on the wrist", and if you screw up again, you get hit harder and acquire a 25-game chat restriction. Now you'd think, "okay, so... does the punishment become a 50-game chat restriction or 1-day ban after that?" right? Well... no. It doesn't. The punishment jumps from a 25-game chat restriction all the way to a 2-week ban from the game. Um... excuse me, what? Where are all the other "less severe" punishments in between? What happened to the 1/2-day bans? Or the week long ban?

So here's my solution to this problem as well. Before all you Rioters get pissed at me, hear me out. In game, I've seen players have chat restrictions, yet they're still super toxic in their limited messages anyway. So i suggest that we remove chat-restrictions entirely, seeing as they do absolutely nothing to change the behaviour for the vast majority of toxic players. Instead, the "least severe" punishment starts off at a 1-day ban.

This 1-day ban will be the new "slap on the wrist" and it'll come with a message that says "Hey insert summoner name here, we get that people are dumb sometimes, but try not to let that affect your game play and attitude, alright? This is just to give you a breather and calm you down, even though we know that bans can be rough. Just try not to do this again, k? Thanks, love ya <3" and if they are at a checkpoint in honour, it lowers their honour by one checkpoint rather than a full level (cause decreasing it by a full level is a little much right away).

After this, you get a 2-day ban, which also lowers by one checkpoint and leaves a message that says, "Hey, we're trying to help you here. Try not to let this get out of hand, k? Thanks, love ya <3". And yes, put the "Thanks, love ya <3" at the end of every message for the laugh so people don't feel too bad about the ban.

If they screw up again, they get a week long ban and lose a full level of honour. This time the message reads, "K. We warned you. You keep messing up and we're trying to make sure you don't anymore. Try to learn from this and not be toxic anymore, k? Thanks, love ya <3"

The last three punishments progress to 2-week ban, 1-month ban, then perma. Come up with the last 3 message yourselves, and of course, add "Thanks, love ya <3" to the end of them.

I feel that this system will help a lot in terms of bettering player behaviour and turning down the dial on toxicity. Let me know your thoughts.
