I got punished for not being offensive to the guy the enemy that was flaming and reported me .

So ,i was playing top jhin and i was dominating some random poppy dude who of course became really salt . One day later riot sent me a message for being toxic , etc . Here is what i had written ( i will also translate the foreign words ) :

So i mananged to remain calm no matter how badly poppy made me feel and got punished ... Does anyone else reading this chat believe that i really deserve a 10-chat restriction ?

We aren't comparing it to what he said to you. You are each held accountable for what you said, not what the other said.

Also, "reported" is considered harassment and negative, saying that will almost always lead to someone trolling if said in a stressful environment, as now they already know you will report them so they have nothing to lose. At least that is their flawed logic.

You talk too much. Unsportsmanlike/disrespectful, and possible hatespeech/homophobic slang depending on what that censored word is. There is a zero-tolerance (read: instant permaban-worthy) policy for hatespeech/homophobia/other similar types of language (racism, any other type of X-phobic speech, etc)

Riot only send the most recent(s) chat logs. You may have been toxic in other games too which also factor in whether you get punished or not. Unjustified mutes/bans are extremely rare and according to that chat log, if you have this kind of attitude in all or most of your games, it is a well-deserved mute.

Look back at the chat log and pretend you were actually having that conversation on a basketball court with other players or whichever other group activity you enjoy. Realize just how toxic you sound.

Just because you don't find it offensive doesn't mean everyone thinks like you. It's generally considered offensive and in any case both of you need to be punished.
