Penalties at the end of the season should not disqualify players from end of season rewards.

Instead, a player should be required to reach and maintain Honor 3 or higher for 80% of the Season in order to receive the rewards.

That seems a little arbitrary and a little hard to gauge. Why Honor 3 for 80% of the season instead of just requiring Honor Level 2 by the end of it...?

Wouldn't this just skew it the other way? With this new method, if you get chat restricted late in the season it would be okay because you wouldn't be low honor for that long due to the season being almost over. But losing your honor early in the season? You've ruined your average since you'd be hit with the full brunt of the average destroying numbers over a much larger period of time unless you get those numbers up real fast.

And this skewing it to favor the end is worse as far as behavior goes. People would give up on getting season rewards (and behaving for season rewards) near the beginning rather than the end, leaving an entire season for the player to have the, "Might as well misbehave since I wont get my reward!" indignation.

Aren’t end-of-season rewards intentionally designed to encourage honorable conduct? Makes perfect sense to me that your account would need to be in good standing to claim them.

Heh, you just gonna make it harder for those toxics to get rewards.

The casual / occasional player who gets 14-day banned at the start of the season, works his butt off to be neutral in his games (with the occasional toxicity, cos he slips up), makes it to h2 in October won't get his rewards.

I wouldn't mind giving that dude his rewards, he's shown adequate control compared to his former self.

Disagree.

It should be honor 2+ for 50% of the season. And punishments for verbal toxicity shouldn't count.

You mean if I cool off early season, I can start to be toxic around July/August and still get my end season rewards?

Right now, you can kind of be toxic and get punished early on in the season and can still get your end season rewards because you have plenty of time to get back to honor 2.

With this system, as long as you don't get punished early on, you can kind of be toxic and get punished later on in the season and be guaranteed end season rewards with this system of yours (don't even need to get back to honor 2). It basically shift the period of time when you can be toxic and still get rewarded.

tbh its kinda contradictory though.

you recieve them for being honorable (and good at the game depending on which you aim for). if you got chat restricted, thats dishonorable. sucking up just to get something contradicts this too.

edit: locking out at the end of the season IMO is awkward though, but now that i think about it, it could be because of the latter i just stated, people only suck up to get free stuff. if you were punished at the beginning, then got honor back, youre showing reform.

I agree that its kinda bs that if you get penalized late into the year you could end up with no time to reform to obtain rewards, and i do find that to be unfair just due to timing.

I dont know of a good way to handle this, however.
