Dear Riot Games.
Hello Riot, my name is alex, i've been playing since beta and have always enjoyed the game and have put hundreds of dollars into it to show my support because i honestly believed in what was going on here and that everything was gonna be awesome. i've had many many years of fun, gameplay and you've help me build ever lasting friendship with people i would have never gotten to meet otherwise, and from the bottom of my heart i can't thank you enough for these wonderful times!
that being said it brings me great pain, but also great joy to say that i can no long play your game like i use to and i don't think i'll be coming back. honestly it's a combination of things, be it that i have a baby now and don't have time, a lot of my friends don't play the game anymore and also the fact that this community is honestly just very unfun to ever be around or talk to or even be in a game with. i understand that's a big statement to say but i have played many games over the last month and i can say with 100% certinty that i've almost left each and every one of them because someone has been just an awful mean person to not just me but to each other.
I know very well with the huge amount of people that play this game (gratz on the success btw) that you can't control how people act and you also can't just end toxic ways but i really wanted to let you know that honesty and i'm not just pointing fingers because these people are this way to begin with but you kinda feed their behavior and i can't really play a game where the company feeds into it's own players awful behavior. i'm not in any way saying i'm perfect and i've been toxic as we all have at one point or another but with the creation of such a big e-sports scene going on now all the players are move competitive then every and wanna act EXACTLY like the pros do. copy builds, do that thing xpec did and so on, which i'm sorry but that leads to people just only doing that and with build paths and balancing going to make it so the pros don't have things that exploit the game then we lose our funny little builds or the off builds that sure were kinda broken but didn't have to be removed all together.
With the advent of the e-sports teams and huge push towards it all i can see is the community spiral inwards on it'self and become a shadow of the fun days where if i died more than once then i'm "a dirty feeder" or if i ask someone not to do something than it's "crying" and i'm "a bitch". i realize there is a mute button but that just feels like if i use it and wanna use it right i'll have to just mute everyone on both sides and basiclly just leave the whole game up to luck that everyone doesn't fold in on themselves from toxic ways.
In short, i loved your game riot, i don't expect any changes and i expect you to stay your course and build your huge company and be the dominate force that you are and should be, just along the way please don't forget about the little guys, the ones that have been there from the beginning and helped make the game what it is and what it is going to be. I hope that maybe someone at riot looks at this and maybe it'll cause the smallest change, i doubt it but i'll leave it here anyway. it was fun riot and i know you guys will rock on either way.
