This seems odd to me being a psychology major.

Why when a group of guys in your game don't like you and then all report you. Why do they then all add you to see if you get punished... That in it self in unhealthy to promote..... Also why in a game does one have to call out to all other players to report? It seems asking for a report should be a reportable offense. If someone offends you, report them, but asking others for a report seems once again a unhealthy habit to promote. I know I for one am tried of reporting the word "report" in every single game....Let me know what you guys think?

None of that is "promoted". Adding people to see if they get punished is odd to me, I have never heard of it happening.

Asking for reports is reportable as harassment. It is also pointless because it only takes one report for the game to be flagged.

Calling for reports IS punishable, and you can't privately message somebody unless they accept your friend request, so post-game harassment is minimal. I respect your frustrations, but everything you're talking about is certainly NOT "promoted".

Alot of this comes from habits of the old behavioral system, where you can report people for being unskilled, though that report only minorly adjusts mmr and has no effect on behavioral punishments.

It also comes from the misconception that you need more reports (maybe even they think requires majority?) in a game to get someone punished.

Two reasons

  1. 100% adding friends afterwards MOST LIKELY has to do with their cheat program. My current theory is that 'leakage' exists in chat protocol allowing them to find your IP address.

  2. it also serves the purpose of continuing the "post game high" that troll experience while trolling. As a psychology major you should already be familiar with this concept of a trolling 'high' so I'm a little surprised at your question.

Asking for reports IS reportable already... idk how it's "promoted" other than by the dumb people who do it and then get a chat restriction and come bitch about it on the forums. There's a lot of dumbasses out there, so an educated person like yourself is gonna be dumbfounded often. You should know this, come on man.

The report button is right next to the add friend button.

I mean, adding someone for it seems obsessive. But it shows how angry the other person is, that they want to see "justice" served to you. I mean, it makes sense. People get angry and want something to be done or the subject of their anger punished, it's a fairly normal concept, albeit in this case it's taken way too far and the person clearly takes this way too seriously.

And asking other people for reports is almost like asking them to approve of your assessment. If someone reports another player along side of you, then the implication is that they agree with you and believe the other person is in the wrong. There's also plain believing those extra reports hold some weight (it doesn't really), or just personal satisfaction that you persuaded someone to do as you asked, etc etc. I mean, it's not like either of those actions are counter intuitive.

That being said, neither of those behaviors are promoted.

It is reportable, actually. Only one report is needed per game to flag it, the number of reports in that one game has absolutely zero effect.
