Why do people troll/int?
I dont get the point of it... are derankers a thing in league? why would anyone do this ruining the game for everyone else

Because Riot does nothing to punish them. If a nations punishment for harassment was a timeout for 5 minutes would we see harassment as commonplace in our society? YUP! If you do nothing about trolling it'll stay in high numbers. AS we've seen now with LoL over many years. The behavior has only gotten worse with their terrible solutions to trolling. The solutions being punish the people that respond to trolls but make sure the troll is okay and has room to grow and become a better person LMFAO

Have you ever played the game Left 4 Dead on Steam? Fun game, where in PvP mode you take turns being the survivors and then being the zombies. The developers said they wanted to create an outlet for people who are basically fulltime trolls and love dumping on people who are trying to win the game.
Worked pretty well imo.
People are trolls, but in no game is it worse than League, because people know Riot doesn't punish the behavior unless you are quite literally trolling every single match for 10-20 matches in a row, getting multiple reports for each. I had a teammate the other day actually say he didn't feel like playing and shouldn't have queued. We said don't leave or we'll report. He said "lol. Riot doesn't punish leavers dude. I leave ranked games all the time."

I don't think de-rankers are a thing in league, on DBD maybe. But they usually make a smurf if they reach their peak. Chemical imbalance is the short answer to your question.
