Time For A New Ranked System

So Ive been stuck in S1-2 for the last couple of weeks in the end of this season. My MMR is shot I get 18 per win and -19 per loss. My question is why must I be punished when players either DC at the beginning of the game because of the buggy client or other hardware issues? why do I lose LP when someone rage quits when the game is winnable. I feel I have the game knowledge and mechanical abilities to reach gold. My problem is that most of the time i cant carry the other 4 members of my team no matter how much I stomp my lane and roam to assist others. Why is there not an individual performance mechanic involved in the ranked LP system ? It burns me out when I play for 12 hours and end up at a net loss for the day because of rage quits, DCs, players not understanding the game, and ints. I don't pretend that I play perfectly at all times but the fact that i have to carry 4 invalids through 6 CONSEQUTIVE wins to advance in rank seems very unfair to the player.

Systems for LP Loss forgiveness create a ton of issues including artificial LP gains throughout the system and it promotes harassment along with other issues.

Individual rankings are tough to do because people will have different views on what is most important in the game and it is afterall a team game. You win and lose as a team.

In regards to toxic players, AFKs, Leavers, etc, you are more likely to benefit from them in your games rather than have them negatively impact you. With 5 players on the enemy team you have no control over and only 4 players on your own team that you can't control, 55% of the time a player negatively impacting the game will be on the enemy team and 44% of the time they will be on your team. Im of course assuming you have control of yourself and aren't flaming or harassing teammates which could skew these numbers.

^ This. I was going to give similar numbers myself. Odds are stacked in your favor when you understand you're the only constant factor.

Thing is, you cannot win every game. Try looking at the reasons why you're winning the games you're winning, and look your mistakes when you're losing. Don't blame a statistic that you have no control over.

EDIT: Also if you think +18 -19 is bad, in season 2 I made a new account because mine felt literally cursed. Hard stuck silver 1 in my first ever season. I'd get +3 for a win, and -7 for a loss. That means I had to win 3 games in a row, just to balance out my 1 loss. My account w/r wasn't even negative. The system is far better now than it was years ago. The good news is, when I made my new account...almost as soon as I got to level 30 and went into ranked, I got all the way up to Gold 1.
