Ranked Leavers: This is getting rediculous - Current Punishment System is a JOKE

So, I have been playing league about 4 years now, and over the years I have seen ranked leaver after ranked leaver, with no improvements. The current punishment system is absurd. The use of LeaverBuster doesn't stop people from leaving ranked matches, it just delays them from que'ing and if anything just makes them angry, causing them to play worse and troll more.

You could at least try and make it seem like you care about your players and do something about this issue that has been plaguing this game for years. Implement a SEPARATE RANKED PUNISHMENT SYSTEM.

Now, what I mean by this is create a system that punishes RANKED leavers, while leaving the LeaverBuster in place for those who leave ARAMs or Normals. Make this new system something along the lines of 'leave a ranked game, get a 1 day Ranked ban', meaning you can't play anymore ranked for 24 hours. You would still be able to play Normals, ARAMS and featured game modes, but no Ranked. Making this system with progressive punishment (One Game: 1 Day | Two Games: 2 days | Three Games: 5 days) you would be able to provide a steeper punishment for Ranked leavers, improving the quality of games for the majority of your player-base.

The whole argument "IRL happens" is true. But in the case of Ranked, when you leave a game you are punishing your teammates. Regardless of what has happened, the chances are if you left a ranked game for something important IRL, you probably aren't going to be too worried about playing ranked, and if you do, maybe its time to rethink your priorities.

A system like this would solve so many problems within Ranked regarding leavers. Obviously this system wouldn't help much with AFK's and trolls, but the general premise can be used across the board when it comes to punishing those who are a detriment to Ranked play.

Something needs to happen.
