RIOT going ham with the Player Bans is a big mistake.

All because there are snowflakes that are crying about being told to ward and having their e-feelings hurt when there is a mute button not being used. Keep it up, you won't have a player base at all. If your goal is to make this game for a target age of 12 and under, you're off to a great start Riot.

You know every time I see the term "special snowflake" used it is almost always by people who that term applies to most as they can't stand actually being held accountable for their behavior in a video game. Like Jamaree said when people claim that they were banned for stuff like "please ward here" almost always their chat logs show them being a verbally abusive jerk throughout the game. Yes there's a mute button but that's meant to be a band-aid solution at most and does not excuse the poor behavior that led to one using the mute button in the first place.

Bottom line: If you can't interact with others in a mature and respectful manner then this is not the game for you.

I keep seeing players saying they were banned for telling people to ward, then they post their logs and it is always like "Holy fuck, you piece of shit, why don't you ward %%%?" or something like that.

"E-feelings"? Do people stop being human when they are over a computer? I was unaware that people were not allowed to have emotions when connected via wifi. It is not a matter of how they are receiving whatever it is you are saying, it is a matter of how you are treating another human.

All of the posts complaining that people can't handle being called racial slurs or being the target of sexist comments or being told to kill themselves or being homophobic or some other awful thing... tend to call people snowflakes. Why is being given temp bans and being told not to use that language so triggering? I highly doubt one would use that language at your job or in public on a regular basis... so why do people think they should say those things to others here?

Snowflakes? You mean people crying about their chat restriction?

MagicFlyingLlama3/13/2018, 3:40:46 AM3 votes

Meanwhile most people are complaining about riot not banning enough.

Sounds like you got banhammered, and your attitude suggests why.

Basic respect and mature behavior is expected in public and on the internet, if you cant handle that, you have no right to whine about others being immature..

I know that a coping mechanism for trash is to project and say everyone else is just as bad as they are, but really, the people who get banned are a tiny fraction of the playerbase. Only a couple percent.

Do you say the same shit you say online to people irl?

This Is Your Dad3/13/2018, 5:06:08 AM2 votes

Is your goal to force people to use the mute button or to win a game?

Riot going ham with the bans is EXACTLY what the game needs in terms of Player Behavior.

This doesn´t have anything to do with Riot wanting to make the game for kids, but rather Riot telling everyone in a very polite way to not be assholes.

Internet, video games, it doesn´t matter. It´s not an excuse to be an asshole. You want people to ward?

Ping the place. Send in chat 'ward pls' and done.

I doubt people are getting banned for telling someone to go ward, but go off...I guess

I agree, I have quit this game after years. Back to playing other games like Starcraft and dota

Its a free 2 play game, Riot can do whatever the want. At the expense of losing their core player base XD.
