Why Discriminate bans against low elo

I know most people are going to instantly think low elo who cares or they deserve to be banned. Believe it or not some new players are just joining and trying to climb but are flamed nonstop and if they say anything back not even close to as toxic as a diamond streamer they get hit instantly with chat restriction or in my case 14 day ban for almost nothing at all. It's like riot is trying to drive away any new players and trying to cripple its already dying player base, I am personally so confused if I linked my logs for my 14 day ban diamonds and above would be shocked. I held back so much when I was constantly being flamed and tried to say every response in a passive manner and for no reason on an account that hasn't been played in months no chat restriction just instantly 14 day ban. It blows my mind why they discriminate and let high elo people talk like real humans and low elo they torture with this ultra strict can't talk at all to your teammates or get instabanned. I am not sure how much low elo you have played but people are literally looking for anything and everything to blame the loss on so the fact that you get reports is very common for the fact they are hard stuck low elo for 9 seasons they want to blame the new guy why is it so hard for them to actually review the context of the report and the fact that some people hardstuck duo queue and report you double compared to your one report. The whole system is completely in favor for toxic players that know how to abuse it but I was shocked how they discriminate against low elo I can link 20 stream clips of diamond or higher saying more toxic things that I would never dream of typing without even a chat restriction and I get a 14 day ban for almost nothing. I have contested the ban but we all know riot is always right and won't even consider they made a mistake with their automated bullshit......

If you have a 2 week ban, then you probably earned one due to hate speech or threats.

What do your logs say?

and trying to cripple its already dying player base

players have been claiming that league is dying since season 3. League is literally putting opera deaths to shame at this point.

Does this game have a problem with pushing newer players away? Probably.

Does the community get extremely rude sometimes? Oh hell yes it does.

Did you deserve your ban? I would guess by your lack of logs and the punishment given that you certainly do. They don't give 14 day bans until you're all but drowning in negativity and trying to pull others under. I would know: I've taken a perma before, trying to make the same argument of "there are more toxic people than me, and I'm only being punished because these people abuse the system" that you're trying to throw in here. Personally, I'd still defend a part of it (people can't seem to take criticism or anything hinting at a loss very well anymore) but bottom line: if you're breaking the rules, you're breaking the rules. Other people are not relevant to that, nor are they responsible for that.

I'm not going to say that you deserve to just not play, ever, and all that. I'm no elitist. But take it from me, the only difference between lower elo and higher elo is the volume of reports that lead to the punishments. If anything, it's on your peers for (reasonably) demanding mutual respect as teammates, not on riot. The issue is that this demand for mutual respect goes both ways, and a lot of people forget that. Especially smurfs (I find it very hard to believe that the username "Mute All Hotkey" is a brand new player...let's not lie to each other, shall we?) and mid elo (not low elo) due to their heightened expectations of everyone to know what they're doing, and hyper-competitive demeanor.

Peri knows: I'm not perfect, and I can get pretty irritated, especially if constantly provoked (he's recently had to delete parts of one of my conversations that got pretty out of hand since the guy wouldn't leave me alone...again, rules are rules, and I'm a "grumpy veteran") but if the effort is being made by your actions to not try to fight fire with napalm then your risk of a ban or even a warning is much lower than you're letting on. To put it into perspective, there will be times where you try putting the fire out with water and figuring out its a grease fire that water makes worse...but if you don't knw how to handle a fire, get away from the fire. That simple. In game, that means hit the hotkey you're named after, and put in a report post-game.

I get a 14 day ban for almost nothing.

"Almost nothing" still counts as "something."

Everybody is accountable to the same rules. It doesn't matter if you're Iron IV or Diamond I.

Clearly you don't know how the system works.
