Is reporting for banning a champion that is selected acceptable?

I'm not salty or anything I am just curious if this is a thing that happens/could have consequences. Just a random thought that popped into my head.

Seems like unsportsmanlike conduct

You can report for it, but I don't believe it is a punishable offense.

There are legitimate reasons to allow players to ban a hovered champion (i.e. last-pick wants [OP Champion], but the enemy team would likely take it first).

Though that would change if they were taunting the player while doing it.

not punishable and no they won't do anything about others banning your champ you like to play on purpose.

If you believe it was done with malicious intent, report it.

Whether or not something is 'reportable' often hinges on intent. Are they doing it to prevent an OP champion from being taken by first-pick on the enemy team? That's solid reasoning that has the success of the team in mind.

Or are they doing it just to be a dick? In such a case, Riot doesn't want that kind of behavior.

This is the sort of thing that would likely need Riot to review manually, so if you believe they banned a pick to simply troll, make sure you fill as much relevant information that's reasonable (such as pick order, behavior of the other player in chat prior or after the ban, etc).
