Unfair Chat Restriction

So I was at honor level 0 for being "toxic" which is what it is, I flamed a bit so yeah I accepted that. However, since I was honor level 0 already, someone reported me today for being toxic when I literally wasn't. They were being annoying so I said I was muting them. They then reported me and I was chat restricted. I will post the text of the game's chat text and you can let me know if this is bannable. Like, if this is actually bannable and considered toxic, I'm clearly playing the wrong game because I had no idea the game was geared towards infants. I'd also like to add that the soraka flamed because I was doing poorly on Kog, who I had just bought yesterday, and this is in a normals game. Where people are SUPPOSED to practice new champs. After she flamed me, she continued to steal my cs, then went afk for like 10 minutes.

It's not the most toxic ever, but this sort of blame-placing and situation inflaming (y'all so mad, learn to spell, so toxic, etc) does nothing but make the game environment a little bit worse. If it's a somewhat common behavior it can indeed lead to a chat restriction.

I got chat restricted two times because I tried to tell to ppl to stop flame and being toxic... and nicely, because it's my job I am a teacher. And now I can't answer when my opponent tell me gg on /all. This system is made to be toxic.

As far as I am aware, engaging in arguments like that can warrant a chat restriction because you are still engaging in toxic behavior. The correct move would be to mute them and continue playing the game. You said you were muting them, which would have been fine, but you're still engaging in arguing with them even after you had said that. Also, you shouldn't declare you're muting them -- just do it. Don't announce it like it's an insult.

It doesn't matter what other people were doing. You are the one who is responsible for what you say and why you are saying it. Even if someone is being toxic to you, you shouldn't argue back and do basically the same thing they are doing to you (as far as chat goes).

In more, simple and broader terms: Instead of playing the game, you were spending most of your time unproductively arguing with your team.

I'm sure you've been in games where you've seen two other people on your team not get along with each other, right? How do those games make you feel? Don't you just wish the two would just mute each other and play? I know I sure have.

Whether you agree with how Riot handles it or not is of course up to you. However, not engaging willingly when someone is trying to bait you in with insults or is just intentionally throwing the game, simply muting them and just trying to keep playing is the safest, and best action to take so you don't get chat restricted again, and of course, don't needlessly comment on what they are doing (don't let their behavior control the entire game). Don't call them out and ask other people for reports (1 report carries the same weight as 9). Wait for the game to end, fill in your report, and move on. It's the most productive and cleanest way to get offenders of the summoner code the punishment the deserve.

If it was me personally, I wouldn't put a chat restriction on just this game alone. Maybe if there were multiple games of similar engagement. But it's an automated system that handles most of the reports so what other people think is pretty much moot. You could try to get an appeal with a support ticket but based on the chat log, the chances of it would probably be slim.

the same thing has happened to me where i play a game in normal and someone starts to trash talk me and then i reply saying something like "have a nice day" then i get a chat ban its a joke
