So, I was banned for 14 days cuz of this chat log:

(I should clarify that the 'useless diana' and 'greek %%%got' is one of my best friends and i've played with him probably a hundret times. We've voice chatted and we talk like this to eachother then to. So whenever i'm talking shit to another player its me meming my friend. I'm also like 99% sure you can't get banned for profanity, so idk, I just don't see why I should get banned for this."

You don't get banned for basic profanity, though if you use that profanity to harass somebody, you're being abusive and unsportsmanlike. Assuming your friend is cool with it, he wouldn't report you, but if your relationship isn't clear, somebody else on your team might report on their behalf. You are, after all, using a public chat channel.

The kicker, though, is your use of that homophobic slur. That's not profanity, that's hate speech, which Riot holds a zero-tolerance policy for. There's no acceptable context to speak like that, and it's almost certainly the main reason for your ban.

Thing is, your friend might know you're just meme-ing on them, but the other 3 people on your team don't have the benefit of that information, probably saw you drop the f-slur, and reported you after the game.

It's not a good idea to speak to people like that in mixed company.

Yes you can get banned for putting anything that breaks the Summoners Code in chat. It broadcasts to your team, not just your friend. Unfortunately, Riot isn't going to hire a team to analyze everything for context and all that. Just don't put It in chat in the future.

I would not risk it. Look, people in this game are vindictive. Some people just live for someone saying something they can report for. Get on discord/skype and cuss him, cut up, have fun. Its not worth risking your account.
