Got Chat Restricted because I called a kid Idiot

This kid, 1st of all is playing vs , he's always pushing the lane, dies 3 or 4 times, and says I dont gank when i'm about to gank he basically runs away... then proceeds to call me all types of things from N word to EGOTISTTICAL.... i called him idiot, bad and said he ruined that game... and i got a 10 game Chat Restiction.

Now Riot tell me, is this fair?? Why did this happend... can i start calling everyone %%%%%?? Because if I do I'm pretty sure I'll get Permabanned.

He likely got a 14-day ban or a permanent ban from that, provided he was reported -- you don't always get a message when a report of yours results in someone getting punished.

But yes, this is fair, because you got a relatively light slap on the wrist for an action which is against the rules. Don't insult other players.
