"I want to request a lesser punishment on my account. I know I was toxic and I said things I shouldn't have. I have been put in to anger management classes recently and I am working on controlling my anger.

My possible solutions are as follows:

A. 1 month ban B. Perm chat ban C. Lose all skins D. 6 month ban from ranked queues.

If you have another option please let me know.

I look forward to your response."

"Hey there RoG Vahn,

I am (riot person) with the Player Behavior team. While I admire your efforts to push for reform, unfortunately I cannot lift the suspension on your previous account. We gave you multiple opportunities to improve previously, as well as warnings that a permanent suspension would be placed if nothing improved.

We will not be able to give you any additional chances as we give players the same amount of chances in regards to their behavior. Giving you more would be unfair to any other player who was also in your situation and we want to make sure we treat everyone equally regardless of their personal circumstances.

Sorry, but as you have been given ample opportunities to improve and chose not to do so, we have to uphold the permanent suspension that was issued. The only option that I am able to give you at this point, is to create a new account if you wish to rejoin the community. I know it is not the answer you want to read, but it is all we can offer."

"I am not making another account. I am not going to waste my time making another account. If you are not willing to compromise and work with me then I will find another game to play. There are thousands of games to play it is not going to hurt me any. Especially since I cannot re-add my friends to a new account so there is 100% no reason for me to make a new account. The only way I will play again is if I have this account unbanned.

If for some reason you do decide to be reasonable and start to care about your player base then let me know. Until then I will find another game to play."

"Hey again,

Sadly, we will not be able to fulfill your request as under no circumstances will we be able to remove this suspension. I'm sad to hear you won't be returning, but I can understand why. That being said, we still wish you the best of luck and hope you have lots of fun with your future gaming adventures. Take care."

They couldnt care less about the player base. It is just like corporate America; we are just one insignificant number to them so they dont care who leaves or stays as long as they get paid.

they don't care about toxic players. why should they?

i was in the same position as you and when i was given a 2 week ban, instead of whining about how i didn't deserve it, i grew the fuck up and learned how to not be an asshole.

You remained consistently toxic and didn't change after numerous punishments, they have absolutely no reason to lift your punishment. Especially since you showed you had no capability to cease toxic behavior. Riot is not in the wrong here in any way, size, shape, or form.

I don't think they should. The way you speak with Riot, doesn't show a sign that you are able to control your rage. You are the one seeking for compromise and you act like you are threatening them, think of that, if you behave like a dick even when you are begging for mercy. How is Riot gonna trust you that you will treat other players, who don't hold any power against you, friendly?

"I'll be nice to others because fuck you" does that even make any sense?

BeatzBoyFTW1/14/2016, 2:28:24 AM3 votes

They already said it multiple times. They have already gave you tons of chances to reform when you got your first 3 punishments, so don't go claiming around that they don't care about the player base & shit.

It is just like corporate America; we are just one insignificant number to them so they dont care who leaves or stays as long as they get paid.

Fun Fact: Riot doesn't care about you leaving for another game. Details are in this link that I made for permabanned people such as yourself.

It's unfortunate that this has happened to you, but you do not get special treatment, even if you truly are working to improve your behavior. If they did this for you, they would have to do this for EVERY player that has a permanently banned account, which is something that they will not do.

Also, this isn't really "proof" that Riot does not care about their player base. They cared enough about their current player base to permanently ban your account so that the rest of the community would not have to deal with your behavior.

So you were punished for being toxic.

Your response is to be toxic to the group of guys that punished you for being toxic.

Flawless logic.

Deep Terror Nami1/14/2016, 2:23:05 AM2 votes

It looks like they covered everything necessary already. You refused to change your behavior when given temporary punishments, so the only thing they can do is move to a permanent one. You need to reform before that happens, not wait til it's too late and regret it.

The fact that they won't change their mind is precisely because they care about the community. If they let the most toxic players stay it will ruin the experience for the rest.

Also, account sharing is against the Terms of Use as well. Allowing your brother access can only make the situation worse.

"But..." "But..." "But..."

There are no buts. Either obey the rules or you will be banned soon. You're leaving though. Why are you still arguing?

what the riotler had to say: we are sad that you dont return

what the riotler wanted to say: bitch do i look like i care? we gave you so many warnings and still you dont get it are you mental? gtfo from our game we have a giant player base who knows how to behave, and dude i bet all of your friends are glad that you toxic flamer got banned.

also: every person could say "i have anger issues since im born and im working on them pls unban me" how should riot know? they gave you a lot of chances and warnings, you didnt get it you didnt work on your problems sooner, TOO BAD YOUR ACCOUNT IS GONE and it will be gone.

:D

I don't know if they "don't care about their player-base" is an accurate description instead of being they don't negotiate with repeatedly toxic players, who continue to be toxic despite several warnings.

Kind of like being upset, because your license gets suspended because you won't obey the rules of the road....

Anyway I am done here. Everyone have a nice night. I may check on here from time to time idk. I have recently started playing a new MOBA that has been predicted to surpass LoL in total player base and could be the next big thing in pro gaming so I will be there seeing where that goes. If you have played it or heard about it then you should know which game I am talking about.

ModPrandine1/14/2016, 11:29:43 PM

So because you were just recently put into an anger management class you think that you deserve a second chance to play despite consistently acting like a jerk? Sorry but no, just no. Riot gave you multiple chances to reform and you refused to do so, hence why you're now permabanned from the game. Also, your solutions don't stop the more determined and ignorant jerks from trolling and being jerk (the third one especially), and the more passionate trolls will just troll via their gameplay and not with chat. Aside from that, not everyone plays ranked (I know I don't), so that option is basically useless to those that don't participate in ranked play.

You complain about Riot not being willing to compromise with you, but the reality is that you're the one who is unwilling to compromise with them. Also, they did technically compromise with you at least 3 times, but you proved to them that it was to no avail, so the permaban is Riot telling you "We're not compromising with you any more since you refused to listen to reason". For the rest of your post, these passages from Ulanopo's Knowledge Base should answer and address them just fine:

“Riot bans people because they make money off of forcing people to create new accounts and repurchase the skins.”

Just stop. This is a really silly argument. I didn’t pay for my account any more than you did and while I have bought a number of things, I didn’t have to. There’s nothing relevant to competitive play that I couldn’t have bought with IP.

Also, Riot actively discourages people from making new accounts.

From Lyte: (link (http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?p=33432435#post33432435))

Actually, if we're permabanning you we don't want your money or your time. Just find another game.

“I deserve an opportunity to appeal.”

Everyone has the opportunity to appeal their ban. Just click the support link on the upper right and make your case.

This forum is NOT for appeals. It is an opportunity for volunteers to explain why you were punished and give advice as to how you can avoid further bans.

“Is there any way to remove my permaban?”

Keep in mind that we don’t have the power to remove your ban. Only Riot has that ability.

BANS THAT CANNOT BE LIFTED

  • Behavioral
  • Tampering with the game client
  • DDOS
  • Real-life harassment, threats or stalking
  • Elo boosting

BANS THAT MIGHT BE LIFTED

  • Inappropriate name
  • Payment problems

"Riot should reinstate the Level 20 Challenge."

For those of you that don't know, the Level 20 Challenge was a program where permabanned players could get their accounts back if they registered a new account with Riot and made it to level 20 without triggering a Tribunal case, regardless of the verdict.

It was a dismal failure. Some people didn't know they had to register the smurf account before they started. The main problem, however, was that most of them did not see a need to change their behavior and instead just tried to rush to 20 before the system caught up to them.

Here's Pendragon's comment on this (link (http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?p=26113998#post26113998)):

Why the challenge originally existed When we were first instituting the suspension structure that we did today - much had to be done to understand how effective varying lengths of suspension were at influencing behavior. The challenge was offered to players who sounded very genuinely interested in changing their behavior and were asking for a second change to prove that they were capable of being a stand-up citizen. The assumption was that losing everything you've worked for would an impactful enough event that you would dramatically adjust.

Why the challenge was discontinued Roughly 95% of players who completed the challenge were unsuccessful at playing to level 20 without extreme disruption to other players. What this means effectively is that many thousands of games have been ruined by players who were encouraged to continue to play to level 20 in attempt to regain their accounts.

_This is something that we feel pretty bad for - a program we made to attempt to help people we KNOW were toxic has ruined thousands of games. While a very small number of players managed to reform - the vast majority continued their toxic behavior. _ Our current position is that if your account is permanently suspended - we no longer wish you to continue playing League of Legends, as you've been significantly disruptive to the experience of others.

In the case of the OP - he is one of the few that was able to successfully change his behavior which I commend, but that doesn't mean that he's entitled to something that we won't give anyone else.

Were we to reintroduce the challenge - it would mean many games would continue to be disruptive that don't have to be, with a miniscule rate of success. Is rewarding the the very low number of people who will reform worth the significant damage to games that will be done?

Finally - I'll end with a thought. What we're doing here is calling to reward someone - not for good behavior, but simply for a lack of bad behavior. Is that the precedent that we want to set? Has his lack of toxicity undone the significant damage he did on his previous account? Has he positively influenced the community enough to offset the previous misery introduced? What kind of message are we sending if we reward what should be expected of everyone.
