I just got perma banned for arguing with someone that called me a homophobic slur.....

I've been toxic in the past and have been trying to adjust the way to being a nicer person lately, I knew if I was toxic again I'd be permabanned so I was avoiding it.

Anyway, I start this game with no problem, just messing around with a friend in duo queue. Eventually I try ganking top and my yasuo goes in with 100 hp and dies.

Word for word I said "why go in and die?"

He instantly replies "you died there too (f word)"

This set me off and we argued back and forth throughout the game.

Why am I being permabanned for this bullshit? I never called him any names, the worst I said was "have fun being the weakest part of the team". (That was after he called me the F-word)

I'm really considering quitting this game forever if my account is going to be terminated because I responded to someone saying something so vile, disgusting and hateful.

Doesn't really matter what he said. The fact that you argued with and insulted him throughout the game is toxic behavior, which results in a punishment depending on the behavioral tier you were on. Judging by your match history, you recently had a 14-day ban ending just five days ago, which would have specifically stated that any further misbehavior would result in a perma. That's exactly what happened.

The proper response to somebody flaming you is to mute, report, and move on.

I even got 2 honors that game, clearly I wasn't being excessively toxic. Just one player triggered me by using a homophobic slur. Please Riot, understand I really was trying to change my bad habits and I don't think I deserved this permaban. Look up the logs.

That yasuo may have been banned as well Keep that in mind, and based on what he did say there's a good chance he did.

But the best way to deal with people like that is to IGNORE IT. There is a 100% chance you will not be banned for toxicity and you can just report them afterwords. Or just say sorry while in reality you may be screaming.
