things you can do to prevent your team from becoming toxic

sometimes, people fail to realize that you can contribute to toxicity without actually being toxic

some steps you can take to reduce the salt levels of your team include

  • Avoid /mute all sure you can no longer see chat. However you make life a living hell for people who choose to participate in chat, when you do this. play calls get ignored, pings get spammed, and people become frustrated and tilted trying in vain to get your attention. only mute as a last resort. and only mute people who are actively being negative

The only time i recommend /mute all is if you're recently coming off a punishment. and even then. inform everyone in pregame lobby that you will be muting everyone to avoid toxicity so they know beforehand and don't frustrate themselves trying to get your attention in chat "but telling people they're muted is punishable" only if its being done in a harassing or passive aggressive manner. simply informing your team that you're disabling chat isn't harassing.

  • Actually communicate. simply letting your team know that you're actually paying attention can go a long way. if you disagree with a play call , tell them why, and if you can't come up with a reason other then "stfu you're bad" maybe its actually a good idea

  • if you're playing ranked. play seriously dont pad your stats. dont screw around, if you're playing ranked. you should have only 1 goal. blow up the enemy nexus

  • Avoid typing anything that isnt directly related to gameplay

  • DON'T BAN PEOPLE'S CHAMPS this is one of the FASTEST ways to get someone on your team to troll. at the very least, its going to put them on a massive tilt

  • limit your deaths sometimes you can't avoid going 0/3, but you can avoid going 0/10

  • try to recognize if the team needs your help if you see people dying repeatedly to 4v5s. continuing to afk farm is only going to repeat the situation. sure you might lose anyway. but your team has a better chance of surviving a 5v5 then a 4v5

  • avoid mentioning someone's score this doesnt help anyone, is borderline passive aggressive, and a poor kda doesnt make someone "bad" nor does it make them wrong when it comes to gameplay

A few other tips are congratulate on good plays but not stupidly. It takes 5 secs to type gj top on a double kill from a gank. Also if youve been really good on this the team is more likely to listen if you say hey our chances of winning a teamfight right now arent the best because you have a history of being positive with them.

Try to communicate espically as jg be like hey bot ima gank you after red if we succeed can we take drag? Stuff of that nature

please add "don't ban team mates champ unless agreed upon" and "trust in off-meta (at times)".

also put in bold, "don't pick yasuo, riven, vayne and teemo"
