Permanently Ban-able Offense. Does it exist?

I had a game today with a huge troll who was flaming everyone.

I've been a pretty toxic player myself and I've had my share of suspensions. But I was getting into the whole ignoring the trolls thing when one word slips my mouth. The entire game I've tried my best to ignore (especially without the mute button) the person flaming and not cooperating. Every little advantage we gain he just goes and throws away by overextending in some lane he has no business being in.

I can guarantee that if you were in this same situation, it would at least squeeze out an expletive from you. If you disagree, well whoopdi fuckin doo you goddamn saint. Not all of us have your diamond level skills.

What is wrong with the tribunal community? It seems that all the trolls are getting away with flaming the shit out of everyone else while the guys who are trying to play the game who slips and says "stfu faggot" once to the flaming troll gets banned for life? Are they even considering the context? Can you stop getting so fucking offended by one word? What is wrong with you?

All I have to say is that I'm disappointed in Riot. It was your decision to permaban a long time supporter. I know that your fan-base is practically endless so I guess you don't give a shit about people like me. Thanks a lot for the fun I've had being the toxic fuck you say that I am.

It's more or less a 4 strikes and you're out policy. Something like chat ban, longer chat ban, 2-week ban, permaban. It's been this way for a few months now, so not horribly recent.

There's no "Tribunal community," as the Tribunal has been out of commission for over a year (closer to two? Before I became very active). You get reported by players in your game, which triggers the automatic system to check it out and see if the claims of wrong doing are accurate.

Riot does put a high priority on racist/sexist/homophobic phrases being punished, so your "faggot" statement would definitely do you in. Find different phases to express yourself in the future.

Homophobic and racial slurs tend to be punished. I don't remember exactly where or when, but a sort of 4 strike system was implemented where you have escalating punishments that result in a perma ban upon 4th punishment. It was something like small chat restriction, bigger chat restriction, 14 day suspension, perma ban with extremely out of line behavior resulting in higher punishment faster (skip to 14 day or perma).

When people get permma banned, they focus solely on the game that caused the ban. "I wasn't that bad... Riot isn't taking context into consideration.... The guy was trolling!! He was feeding"... What you're not taking into consideration is the fact that you don't get permma banned on one offense. You probably had multiple offenses, that were FAR WORSE than the one that you actually got banned for.

My share of suspensions. Yea. You were skating on thin ice. That broke the ice.

Sucks when life has consequences doesn't it? How many strikes did you expect Riot to give you?

It doesn't matter if you were "better" than the other toxic person. That's like a rapist and a murderer debating which is a worse crime. They're both crimes that should be punished, it doesn't matter which one is worse. Don't worry, that other guy will get a ban too soon enough. Doesn't change the fact that your ban was well deserved.

Why even use that word? You know very well it carries negative connotations.

It's kind of funny how life has that thing called 'consequences', huh?

Next time, think before you speak. Not just in LoL, but everywhere in life.
