Quit League?

I've been playing this game since Season 3 and love it, but I just might quit because of things not even remotely related to the game itself. Over the past couple of seasons, the community has become increasingly intolerable. Toxic, sore loser, sore winner, easy to give up, unnecessarily unreasonable players have still plagued my games for ages now. In addition, the reporting system simply isn't effective anymore either. Sure it's better than the old system but there are still a plethora of unsportsmanlike players that end up both teams in my games. I just don't understand the value gamers place on League, bragging about playing on smurf accounts while having a higher ranking account anyway. Talking shit and belittling those at lower ranks simply because they are where they are. To think that these people actually believe that they are better or have higher value because of a VIDEO GAME is annoying, frustrating and amazingly stupid to deal with. Congratulations, you're better at a video game that you've spent hours playing and has no substantial value in the real world, want a cookie? Unless you're Challenger, I can't see myself believing or tolerating this kind of behavior much longer. Just like anything else, it's the people that make the environment much worse than it could be. Why play something that I enjoy, but can't stand fellow gamers?
