Punishment for Negative Attitude/AFKing Players

So lately a lot of players have been just giving up or afking for any random reason that pops into their heads. A lot of times when the other members on the team aren't necessarily doing bad. That's obviously rather unfair to the other 4 players on their team. What if somehow that one player was punished more severely immediately for their actions? Sure send a report in post game, but that often takes hours or even days to go through and hand down a rather slap on the wrist type of punishment. Maybe these players should be instantly demoted to the rank below them? Maybe LP gain/loss should be gauged on player participation in game?

The system currently punishes people within 15 mins of a game ending, but keep in mind that people aren't punished every game.

But keep in mind that the system punishes people based of consistency x severity. Meaning people can be punished in 1 game of extreme toxicity or many games of minor toxicity.

Having a negative attitude is considered as a minor toxicity, so it will take many more games for someone to get punished. But as we've seen on these boards, people do get punished for being negative.

The report takes days? Definetly not. Leaverbuster handles the AFK stuff pretty accurately, and handles a report within a hour or two.

As long as your reports are short and to the point when you send em in after the game, it gets spotted fast. If you just click the 'report' and add nothing or any context...better chance of it just getting passed over unless it's an AFK or something hideous. (toxicity)

I think we should have an allowance against afk situations in ranked. I lost 3 ranked games because of afk behavior. And I mean just leaving the game after feeding or giving up. Punishment to those who do so do not help me in any way; their ban or restriction does not give me my LP back.
