N3ac3y's classic rant on toxicity in League which still holds true 2 years later

Even though it's 2 years old, it still shows why people get toxic in this game and why a lot of problems arise. I wish some Rioters would watch this.

Oh really? Its "being locked in with morons" that makes people toxic?

The boosted jungler who dies at lvl 2, trying to "invade" into the enemy jungle, with no vision, no clue where the enemy jungler is, and gets collapsed on, blaming the toplane who had zero chance in hell to help him...is he toxic because hes locked in with idiots?

#No.

The midlane Yasuo who manages to die 3 times, 1v1, in the first 7 minutes, blaming the jungler for not constantly camping his lane, and then starts stealing the jungle and walking into turrets...is he toxic because hes locked in with idiots? #No.

The salty support, who starts stealing CS and/or staying under turret doing nothing, chanting "OPEN BOT!" into /all, because his ADC lost a trade he sat up badly....is he toxic because hes locked in with idiots? #No.

The moron who trolls because he got autofill, and demanded, not asked, DEMANDED that he gets another role....is he toxic because hes locked in with idiots? #No.

The toplane noob, who goes "open top gg report support" at 2 minutes, because the enemy rengar got firstblood in a well executed gank....is he toxic because hes locked in with idiots? #No.

The one-trick-pony who firstpicked his champion and gets hardcountered, spending the entire game to flame, cry and feed, because "OMG XYZ NOOBCHAMP SO BROVEN FITE ME IRL CACER RETARD CANCER KID!"....is he toxic because hes locked in with idiots? #No.

The Vayne "main" who constantly blames the support for "not following", while feeding one kill after another in attempts to go 1v3 instead of playing it safe....is he toxic because hes locked in with idiots? #No.

All these people are toxic, because they are spoiled, socially inapt, pampered, facebook-educated, entitled little morons, with no skill, no knowledge and the demeanour of a plague-ridden rat, whos parents failed utterly in teaching them the basics of social conduct. They think the world revolves around them, and everything bad that ever happens, is someone elses fault.

I have been a subscriber to n3ac3ys channel for longer than most people who use this video as an argument even knew his channel existed. But in this video, he is wrong, and he even demonstrates this in his own words:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvNlbVk10SI&feature=share

Here you get one of his best vids. A flaming Diamond Jungler in one of his games, flames and blames his team for the loss...while doing almost as little damage than the janna support.

Those are the people who are toxic.

Good day.

While I think N3ac3y is partially correct, I think there are several points that he misses out on that I think also contribute to the Toxicity in League

  • You're stuck in a game for 20+ minutes

I absolutely agree, but that's not a problem with just League, it's a problem with any game that you play competitively online with other people. I think this has more to do with people not being able to solo carry games in League unlike CSGO or Overwatch to an extent. If you feed in CSGO and Overwatch, it's hard, but not impossible to solo carry a game, whereas in League it is next to impossible. You have to rely more on your teammates.

  • League already has a reputation for being toxic

If you've played this game for as long as I have, you know that when League first came out, it had a reputation for being extremely toxic. Now after 5 years of playing, I have seen a significant decrease in toxicity in my games over the years. Yet when I try to play other competitive games, I see just as much toxicity there (especially in CSGO) as I do in League with voice coms.

  • People think they're better than they actually are

I've seen more people pass the blame on their terrible play onto their teammates. Sometimes its justified, most of the time it is not. We tend to not take responsibility for our mistakes and it's a lot easier to blame other people for our losses. A perfect example of this is Trick2G last night. He was playing Garen top lane, and he ended up going like 3/15 (you can watch the vod here it starts about 10 minutes in). At the end of the game, you can see Trick blaming his team for not playing his way. He doesn't take responsibility for feeding the whole game (also known as the Singed Syndrome).

  • People are just assholes and get tilted

More often than not, this is the experience that I see in many MOBA's. People get out of a bad game, are already tilted, and continue to play. At the first mistake they see, they just start flaming.

That's my assessment, I think N3ac3y is partially correct, but I think he misses out on a lot of other factors.
