game leave punshment

Ok so let me get this straight. If i leave a game whether it be something happens irl, or I am having a bad time in the current game, Or there is a troll in the game or whatever. But if i stay I could be reported for whatever reason i.e I am " intentionally feeding" because I am not doing well or someone wants to troll or whatever the case? This is messed up and quite honestly it's stupid. It is a game and just a game. I am playing to have fun and if I am not having fun i don't want to play. So why should i be penalized for quitting? If I am not having fun and already don't want to play then I am not going to be helping the team therefore my very presence is hurting them more than if I just left. I've heard every argument of me staying helps when in fact no it doesn't yes the person in my lane on the enemy team isn't going to gank other lanes but than again I'm just feeding them so that nullifies that argument. Your damage helps. Again I'm just feeding so my dmg is nullified. The logic behind penalizing people for leaving makes absolutely no sense to me. People have been leaving games since games were ever created. They are going to leave until games don't exist. Punishing someone for leaving a game is ridiculous. It is a game and just that. I am not playing for a professional team. I am playing for fun. If my internet cuts out on me I can't do anything about it. If my kids needs something or they hurt themselves or my significant other needs something now not later You're basically telling me League of Legends is more important then anything else and I am a bad person for thinking otherwise? No if my internet company is performing maintenance or I get a lag spike for whatever reason that cause my internet to be momentarily lost is not my fault. I know that Riot Games doesn't care but at least I said my peace.

Of course things can happen that are out of your control. Does that change the rules? No. You have to follow the rules, if you want to leave a game because you aren't having fun then go play a game that doesn't have rules about leaving.

You are right it is a game and it is supposed to be fun. 4v5s are not fun(for most people). Sure there might be some games you don't find fun and want to leave, but that it is a very narrow view of the situation. Imagine another game where you are having fun. Now someone else finds this game not fun and leaves. Now you stop having fun. Everyone benefits every day by punishments for leaving existing because it reduces how often people leave.

It is not that league is the most important thing in the world. It is that each game has a time commitment. If you queue up you are saying that you can meet that requirement and leaving a game is failing to do it. Everyone has occasional issues and there is built in leniency for that. You do not get punished for leaving 1 game.
