I am going to say two things;

First and foremost, if you have been wrongfully punished, file a Support Ticket. Riot Support can overturn punishments that have been erroneously applied, although false-positive punishments are exceptionally rare.

Second; I am very skeptical of that screenshot. The font doesn't look right and the bold-face text (14-day Suspension, Your Chat Logs, Game 1, I Understand) look sketchy, both figuratively and literally due to a lack of anti-aliasing. Something about your screenshot rubs me the wrong way, so I can't help but feel that it might have been edited to omit the rest of your chat logs.

Whatever the case, Riot does have the full, unedited chat logs, so if it was edited, know that you'll be pretty disappointed with the results of your Support Ticket. If it wasn't, then the punishment will likely get overturned.

It's not unheard of for the IFS to have a hiccup every now and again. There has been a few cases where the IFS gave people the wrong punishment, the wrong chat log, the wrong type of punishment (verbal instead of game play or vice versa), harsher/lighter punishment than it should be, etc. Rito has always rectified these mistakes.

Send in a support ticket and ask them to clarify your punishment for you. People on the board has no way to ascertain the truth of what happened to your account, be it on your end or the IFS end.

For me the report-card looks a bit edited - OP maybe ping a moderator over Discord and directly show them in real-time (videocall) that this is not fake.

THIS is how you got banned? I completely don't understand the reasoning behind this. Was "lol" used to much toward the enemy team worldwide that it became a ban-worthy offense?

Serious note though, maybe they didn't send you the rest of the logs? Just msg them. I remember seeing someone getting punished with the logs only saying 'lol' and then a Rioter looked it up and posted the entire thing. I hope that its a mistake on Riot's part, slim as the hope is. Good luck, OP.

OP, regarding the "edited" screenshot, can you try to make a screenshot with anything that doesn't convert it to a PNG?

Because I've seen this stuff before, and it's usually an issue with the way PNG compresses text. It does so extremely efficiently, but in the process it sometimes loses the detail of the original font.

To answer you actual question: There was, at least at some point in the past, a bug that would make the chat logs not display properly. Your best bet here is to write a support ticket. Worst-case they'll give you the actual full chat logs, best-case they'll revert the punishment because the single line "lol" is obviously not punishable.
