Leaver Buster Hell

I seem to be stuck in what is almost assuredly worst than Elo hell. If anyone has experienced something similar to this id be greatly interested. I am mostly a casual player. Very little ranked play and here lately very little play in general. This is almost entirely due to being stuck in what seems to be a broken Leaver Buster system. I understand the need for a program like this. When I dc (almost always unintentional and never in ranked) I deserve to be punished and I can accept that. However the never ending cycle of lower priority queue times has made the game nearly unplayable. Like it or not disconnecting is going to happen. Sitting through 10 and now 20 minutes before entering a 45 minute game is difficult to handle on any kind of schedule. But finally after slogging through 5 matches of "low priority queue" Im forced to walk on egg shells. My play time goes way up, but within a few weeks an unlucky power outage or dead laptop earns myself another 20 minute wait for each match. Despite reconnecting and finishing the match Im still punished to the absolute fullest extent. This feels like an ineffective solution from Riot. Im not learning any lesson, its simply driving me away from the game I once loved. Once again im not saying I dont deserve to be punished but surely there is a more effective way than this. Im sure ill get around to grinding through those 5 matches but until then Riot is basically forcing me to take a break from LOL:''(
