Is it my fault for throwing a game my team didn't want to win ?

So in a draft pick earlier, the game was very close and it was clear that once one person messed up, the game was over for that team. Fortunately, our team won a major teamfight, losing 2 members but they were 3 man down for the next 50 seconds. With only Ezreal and Nasus left to defend their Inhibitor and otherwise open Nexus, the Nasus decided to push bot and Ezreal was farming.

So, obviously, going mid and ending the game would be the best call. Our Qiyana was very fed and could easily burst down Ezreal, and Xayah was also strong enough to solo their Nasus. If anything went wrong, there was always Riven left to back them up. The win was this close. There was no way they would respawn in time to stop a late game ADC with two others from destroying a single inhib and nexus. But instead, my team decided that clearing the top wave was more important than ending the game.

30 seconds left. Xayah decides to go bot to stop Nasus, who then proceeded to move to mid instead and started farming in front of our inhibitor tower. 20 seconds left. Riven starts farming jungle. 10 seconds left. Qiyana loses a 1v1 to the Ezreal, which she would've easily won had Xayah or Riven decided to help. 0 seconds left. And their team was alive again.

I had enough. So I ran it the fuck down mid. I engaged on the Ezreal solo, and the enemy team grouped mid to help him. I died, leading to our Xayah getting caught and dying, and then our Nautilus, and then our Qiyana, and then our Riven. We lost the game in a minute and the enemy team was spamming BM in the all chat.

Am I the bad guy for acting accordingly in a game my team clearly didn't want to win ?

Intentional feeding is never acceptable, regardless of the circumstances. Even if your team explicitly said they were going to throw the game and AFK in side lanes, that would not justify breaking the rules yourself and you should have just played defensively or done... well, pretty much anything other than feed.

If they didn't explicitly state that they were going to AFK or that they gave up, you just have to accept it. Some people make horrible decisions, they make mistakes like pushing sidelanes when the enemy is shoving mid or farming the jungle when a teamfight is happening. It happens.

I seriously doubt you'll get flagged for intentional feeding after one death in one game after engaging on a 1v1, but there's always the rare case it could happen. For the future: Please just don't intentionally feed. Don't break the rules and subject yourself to potential punishment because your teammates are frustrating you. Ping and try to get them to group, if that doesn't work you just need to accept that sometimes you're going to have shitty teammates. It happens. Don't let it get to you like that.

i mean you said you died on intention which lead to a game loss. so yeah i'd say thats not cool. even if your team made a decision that was total horseshit, the game wasnt over yet.

also your poll is a bit meh. that shit would tilt me aswell. but i wouldnt have done the same. id most likely point it out in chat and ask them to go for another 5v5. if we win this teamfight and they dont end again, i'd start afk farming the jungle like they do and just watch the game get lost. at least then i didnt die on intention.

When your team wants to lose, pretend to play the game.

So many of u guys are right, even if the call was r%%%%%ed inferior no one deserves a loss from one person giving up. I’ll keep that in mind next time this happens.
