I don't understand why people are toxic in a video game. Like its a video game, its not gonna affect you in any way if you lose other than you'll be disappointed.

But some people feel the need to go above and beyond and start calling you derogatory terms and telling you to off yourself and go on to do it the next match.

And guess who gets chat restricted? The person who defended themself from the individual who told the other to kill themselves. Like???

Also, duos vs a solo queue. Or even worse, a 4 man vs a solo queue. Riot, why is it that when I queue into a match and the 4 man premade thinks i suck and send 4 reports my way, why is that okay? Like if I'm positive or even SILENT for the whole match and get flamed on, am I supposed to just mute them even if its a team game when I wanna listen for pings and actual things they might have to say?

At one point I thought it was different ELOs. My rank is silver but my MMR is around high plat low diamond. There are some differences in attitude but for the most part its the same story just different people. Instead of flaming me for not banning their least favorite support, I get flamed for missing 1 hook.

Idk I just need to get this out there after like a whole year. Maybe I should uninstall.

In a single word, anonymity.

It empowers many to say/do things with no fear of social repercussions that they would normally get in real life behaving the way that they do.

It sucks that people don't stop and think about the person on the other end of the computer, but since you're not actually there in front of them it's harder for some to see/treat others as human.

This is a problem throughout the internet. League just forces you in a room with the individuals for longer moments of time and places everyone in a tense situation, making it more likely people will behave at their worst.

You just gotta know when to mute when necessary, or at least learn to dismiss their opinions once it's clear they're just jerks.

If I was trying to play tennis with someone and they kept just hitting the ball into outerspace, I'd stop playing tennis with them.

I don't have that choice here, so it gets frustrating. I need a cop to come over and make him play or give me someone with respect for other peoples time. Riot doesn't do that, they provide you more people hitting the ball into outerspace.

Well it does suck when you're trying your hardest to win and you have some jackoff is feeding or not helping the team, but as long as they doesn't type they wont get in trouble. And don't give me that bullshit where riot bans people for trolling cause i just seen on the forums here where a duo lost 100 games of rank to troll. If riot cant catch 2 people losing 100 games in a row to troll they are not going to catch anyone. So to say why are people so toxic, i think they are just tired of being trolled. You can only troll people so long before they break.

It doesnt matter how many report you will get. On my main account i have around 2k reports and i havent been banned once. It really doesnt matter if you dont break the ToS.
