please dont play the blame game

Hello all,

Now, I'm really not good at league of legends, nor am I even level 30. I play because I think the designs of the characters are awesome, and I genuinely think the game is fun win or lose. I come from a background of games more like TF2 and Overwatch, so the games are shorter, and I kind of grew not minding if I won or lost. Doesn't mean I feed every single game for kicks, I still try and would PREFER if we won, I just cant seem to get tilted.

Moving to my point, I haven't played for any longer than 6 ish months maybe 5, and I see a lot of the blame game going around. You may not be able to sense it because of how irritated you are at the moment, but being that way towards anyone really doesn't help. In fact, personally I feel like it demoralizes the very players that are being blamed. I get it, nobody likes to lose, but when has anyone liked to be berated? Everyone makes mistakes, even the pros do. When those mistakes happen, they happen. In this game its really difficult to come back once you've already made a couple mistakes, so they might need some help.

I have never been able to relate to being tilted, and if you do, I hope you don't become that way since it doesn't look like a ton of fun for you or anyone around you.

And to those of you who feel upset because people say you're terrible at the game, or the reason you lost, just try to breathe and keep calm. This game is very competitive and serious, but I would hope it's meant to be fun as well :) keep trying your best, and what happens, happens. Keep calm, and play on. Don't let it ruin your day :)

Firstly, I want to welcome you to the community! It's always nice to see new players around!

Being "on tilt" (or more accurately "choking") is not a fun experience and a lot of people tend to externalize this in their behavior. This is the most common reaction to the situation, and I feel like it's due to a lot of people not having the proper mindset to improve. You seem to be aware of the kind of attitude that works best for improving, so I'd say keep at it and you'll get to a pretty high rank.

If you play with friends and they struggle with this, I'd show them this video (it also wouldn't hurt to watch it yourself). Weldon is a sports psychologist that works with one of the biggest League of Legends teams here in North America, Team Solomid. Thanks to his guidance and the willingness of the players to learn and improve, they ended their last split at an amazing 17-1 record, became this year's North American champions, and are going to be playing in the World Championship Tournament, starting tomorrow.
