Punishments are weak (probably) (Rant Alert)

Just came across an inter, who played as MF who not just ran it down mid, but also ran towards any enemy champion she could fight and died fighting them. About 15 times in a row until we lost. In-chat she's like "Oh, you think reporting me will do something? Try again kids." - not her actual words, but pretty much the same meaning.

That said, the reporting system is a joke right now, and not because it's ineffective or something like that. It's being ignored and not taken seriously by the very same people it intends to punish. Especially when they can just make a new account when they get banned.

Maybe actually bringing into court the people who sell accounts and slamming them with fines and jail time (depending on the laws in their country, or the USA's, whichever judging is based on) for selling somebody else's property would finally erase the smirks from their faces.

Don't take the above paragraph as a real suggestion, though. That would be a bit overkill, realistically speaking.

It's just... She inted, she inted. I don't care about a normal game, just move on. Thing is, though, her attitude is more tilting than anything. Somebody breaks the rules and just laughs in your face when you threaten to report them? Jeez. That's the equivalent of telling a murderer you're gonna call 911 and they just laugh in your face because they have the best lawyers out there and couldn't care less...

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...!

The verbal detection part of the behavioral system is working fine.

Inting and trolling detection is very weak right now, and relies largely on manual reviews, which take time.

Transparency and Clarity of how the system works is weak as well.

Combine all of those together, you get the feeling that the system doesn't punish players with disruptive gameplay behavior. The trollers do get punished, it typically happens within 2 weeks - 1 month and there will never be any notification of it. But your feeling of the system not doing enough is real.

punishments are definently not weak for inters/trolls.first offense is a 14 day ban, second offense is permaban. They can make new accounts but riot can't really stop them from doing that.

I think mf didn't care because she knows she can get away with inting, not that the punishment is weak. Right now, riot's system is extremely bad at detecting smart inting/trolling. It always takes a manual review, and even then if the person is smart enough they can make it look like they had a bad game, which is called "soft inting". Riot definently needs to improve the system on catching trolls and inters.

Jeez. That's the equivalent of telling a murderer you're gonna call 911 and they just laugh in your face because they have the best lawyers out there and couldn't care less...

A better comparison would be that the murderer dosent care because he knows he can get away with murder because the police can't catch him.
