Suspended by a player who went AFK

Good afternoon to those whom it may concern,

Recently I have returned to the rift after about 7 months, hoping to find that the game was come into better shape since, and it sorta has. I feel the Auto review needs a deeper look into chat logs, and game activity since I received a suspension till april 02, due to 1 offensive comment, made to a player that went AFK for 8 mins, and also proceed to troll the team afterward for not surrendering. In the chat log it even shows me saying that I muted him immediately after, due to his extremely Toxic behavior. I do not wish to have my Suspension removed, however if I received a 14 day ban for 1 comment, I feel this players chat log/game activity should at least be reviewed for the same punishment due to him creating the Toxic environment leading to my single outburst. Had I known the system looks so Deeply into this i would have reported right after since I was being cussed at, and tilted for awhile before hand. Additionally reports that are received by AFK members of the team i feel should be disregarded in the 1st place, due to them creating just as, if not worse environment for the game. In addition to this I had received Honors in about 90% of my games leading up to this. (So much for that "you make the game a better place" message, since 1 person provoking an argument can land you a 14 day ban for a single comment.) My hope for this post is to have my previous match receive a quick review of the total chat log by a riot employee.

Before you make your claim and looking for an actual response from the board, you need to post your chat-log. Then everyone will have something to discuss and point out in what happened. Till then, everything you have to say in your claim is irrelevant and no one here can help you.

No one gets punished for telling a player they're going to mute them. You are responsible for your own action and what you say in the game. No one can get yourself punished but yourself. Also, your honor is also irrelevant when it comes to the punishment system. There are only TWO reasons for a 14-day ban.

  1. Ongoing harassment, threatening, negativity, and purposely ruining people's game. Doing this frequently will trigger your 3rd punishment tier.
  2. You said something against zero-tolerance policy and it skipped two punishment tiers.

So if you want someone to review your chat log, then you need to post it. If you do not have your chat-log by any chance, then go to Riot Support. No one here can help you otherwise.

Sorry, but you're the only person responsible for what you type. Blaming others for your actions (I was provoked, he started it, etc.) is inexcusable.

If they went AFK, they are likely to miss out on seeing the post-game screen, unless they're wandering around in the fountain (which leaverbuster does pick up on). If your argument is that players who break the rules should have their reports thrown out, then shouldn't your report also be thrown out?

I reported a guy that hard inted in my game (30+ deaths). He's still playing the game, 3 weeks and 2 support tickets later.

Players can't suspend you. If you were suspended, it's because you were found to be in violation of the rules. YOU were in violation. No one else matters. Being provoked into being toxic is still being toxic. Doesn't matter if you fall for people taunting you, you are expected to mute it if it bothers you and report after the game.
