Why does Riot prioritize player reactions for banning over actually intentionally feeding players?

So I've experienced this multiple times, where the player on my team intentionally feeds and even admits to it in chat. Then I get mad and get banned for getting mad, yet they get a slap on the wrist with a warning if even that. Seems like a pretty garbage system to me. And to be fair many of the things that I have said while getting mad are low grade at best, the standard of what they seem to think is bad enough to get banned for is also garbage.

So in my mind I feel like actions speak louder than words, but it isn't the case here at Riot.

To start with:

Why does Riot prioritize player reactions for banning over actually intentionally feeding players?

They don't prioritize one over the other. They punish both.

Then I get mad and get banned for getting mad, yet they get a slap on the wrist with a warning if even that.

Okay, but how, pray tell, do you know, for certain, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that they got only a warning?

The first punishment for players caught intentionally feeding/trolling is a 14-day ban, so your information doesn't sync up with the actual known info.

And you don't get banned/punished for getting mad - you get punished for letting that anger spill into the chat.

And to be fair many of the things that I have said while getting mad are low grade at best, the standard of what they seem to think is bad enough to get banned for is also garbage.

If that's so, feel free to share your chat logs for peer review. The person receiving the punishment, by principle, cannot be considered a good judge of their own behavior.

Ill point this out again.

Neither is prioritized. Banning people over toxic chatting is much easier due to the automated system being able to just check chat logs. Banning intentional feeding on the other hand can be much more tricky to detect with an automated system unless the person is making it blatantly obvious.

Simple KDA check doesn't work since people can have really awkwardly bad games, especially new players.

Sure, inters and trolls can be annoying, but honestly, what does going rampage in chat solve? Will it make them stop throwing/inting/feeding? Will they have a sudden realization that what they are doing is wrong because you said so?

Come on now. Every time someone feeds, do your ABSOLUTE best to try and win instead of wasting time and energy chatting, because at the end of the day you are the one getting punished (assuming you flame)

As to the "garbage system" sure, it might take longer for people to be punished for feeding, but it does happen eventually, this is because it is harder to detect (requires manual review, and if you are aware of how many league games that get started every second, you know it's not an easy task)

You also seem to think that flaming in chat once gets you permabanned instantly, which is not the case It might look like you get punished for flaming easier, but that is because there is a system in place to make punishments based on certain words and phrases you CAN get an instant 14 day suspension in case you say something really bad in chat, and that is completely justified

but it usually goes like this: 10 Chat Res>25 Chat res>14 day suspension>Permanent suspension And it takes at least 1 month of continuous toxic behavior to climb to a perma.

All in all, don't let people control you emotions and make lash out in chat, you lose by doing so, and the trolls get what they want.

Well here's an idea, since this IS indeed a major issue and cause of other people being toxic who wouldn't normally be..

How about riot ramps up the punishment for people who are legitimately caught griefing and inting? the people who really are instigating toxicity in others, really are feeding on purpose, stealing camps/cs, baiting teammates to their deaths, etc etc

How about they get instant perma bans? The punishment for this should be much much more severe, since it's basically "premeditated" toxicity. It's not a reaction.. that player is playing that match solely to ruin everyone else's match, and flat out should not be allowed to be a part of the community.

At the very least, it will deter people from doing so
