Can we punish teammates for banning champions being hovered?

Genuinely, you shouldn't be able to ban a champion a teammate is hovering.

Players that do this are annoying, because one of three outcomes happens:

  1. The player picks a secondary champion and tries their best, but cannot preform as well as they could have and tanks the game for the team.

  2. The player intentionally feeds down the players lane that banned the champion.

  3. The player is forced to dodge, losing LP in the process.

If you click ban on a champion someone is hovering, it should automatically remove everyone from the lobby and place a 5 minute queue timer on the player who banned the champion punishment getting worse for every attempt.

You want to punish someone for using an intended feature (ban > pick)? That's like saying Rito should punish people for initiating the Surrender vote....

While I would never ban someone's pick and I would be salty as fuck if someone banned my hover, I do appreciate the feature whenever a newly released champion came out or newly reworked champion. I will ban them on the first 2 released weeks no matter what.

This again. Don't play draft pick.

This is never, ever going to change or else it wouldn't be draft pick any more.

How about stop being a baby if someone bans a champion you wanted.

Actually, they should just make it impossible to do so.

You know, I get the reasoning: X champion is super strong in the current meta, and X player is far down the list; X player has a sub-50% win-rate, so force him onto something else. What everyone else doesn't seem to get is the tilt-factor; you ban someone's hover, you piss them off. You piss them off, they tilt. They tilt; you lose the game. Unless, of course, you're some God-tier smurf. In which case, the champ select phase shouldn't matter, now should it? So you shouldn't ban someone else's hover, now should you?

Riot could put an end to this as early as next patch, but they won't. You know why? They secretly want toxicity to be a major factor in the game.

Nah. Play a different champ. At least twice I have accidentally banned a champ that someone was hovering. Sorry, not sorry. Not a big deal, theres over 150 champs to choose from, and at least a dozen in the role you have selected. People who learn ONLY one champion in a game where champions get banned, are fucking themselves.

You should not be able to ban a players hovered pick at the client level. That would solve the issue. I do agree that almost every time someone does it, the person should be punished for doing so because it is almost always done against their own team mates choice instead of against the enemy, but the problem can be completely resolved by riot instead of punishment.

How about we punish one tricks instead, thanks.
