I believe the ban system for chat is way to harsh and just has way to many issues. I tried to make a ticket so that I could speak to an actual person about my 14 day ban but I never got an actual person so here I am. My ticket included an argument for why I believe this 14 day ban is way to harsh so here's my ticket.

I got a 2 week ban, and here are the problems with it.

  1. I'm just going to hop on my smurf which ruins other peoples games.
  2. I never got any warning and have never been previously punished.
  3. I am an honorable summoner and 1/200 games I might lose my mind like this.
  4. The problem of flaming could just be solved through chat restrictions. I don't understand why speaking leads to a 14 day suspension makes no sense.
  5. I only ever flame the other team never my own team, I feel like this should be allowed as they are the enemy.
  6. I am always nice to my teammates and even provide constructive criticism trying to help them.
  7. I just went into a game on my smurf and felt bad since everyone in the game agreed with all these points and the enemy jinx said "I wish riot would stop suspending players, I hate playing smurfs I just want to learn how to play this game." (I wonder why this game has no new players.)
  8. Most people ban others out of spite and hate knowing there account will be suspended, not because they are trying to make the game "better". They simply get a sick thrill out of knowing they are causing you anger since your account will be banned.
  9. What is the mute button for if people are just going to ban you for typing to them.

Some of the main points here that I want to emphasize is that I never got a warning for my behavior (Like thanks for the heads up riot :) I have also played this game for 5 years without any punishment and this shit happens like ah I guess those 5 years of good behavior don't mean shit.

This process is clearly broken and that angers me more than having my account banned, you can leave my account banned but please fix this process for the sake of everyone playing your game from noobs to pros. Please consider this and try to get it to someone that can actually make a change.

If you used hate speech, slurs or encouraged others to harm themselves, then the 14-day ban is the warning.

Be glad it wasn't a direct permaban.

And your smurf will get banned if you ruin people's bans.

Then you must have done something so outrageously bad that you shouldn't even need a warning it's unacceptable.

If you did something so bad as to skip chat restrictions, you shouldn't even do it 1/10000 games.

No, it cannot, because when chat restrictions are applied, people just turn to trolling. Riot does not want you to play the game if you cannot behave.

Bantering the enemy is acceptable. Flaming anyone is unacceptable.

This does not give you the right to flame anyone not on your team.

I suspect you failed to tell the whole truth, which is why they "agreed with you". Please keep in mind that spamming chat trying to discuss punishments, reports, etc is also a punishable offense. Chat is for coordination, not for you to bitch and moan about your punishment.

You provide no proof for this, but regardless, reports do nothing if you didn't violate rules.

The mute button is so I don't have to deal with your toxicity. The report and punishment features are so other people never have to deal with your toxicity.

If you receive a 14-day ban when you had no previous punishment it is likely due to breaking some zero tolerance stuff like using derogatory slurs or telling someone to kill themselves.

You shouldn't need a warning for that sort of thing.

It isn't common to jump from clean slate to a 14 day ban, unless you used some zero tolerance phrase. You are welcome to share the logs here and maybe we can identify what happened.
