non toxic players getting banned and toxic players not

Toxic players, I feel are people who instigate and create negative feelings towards others and bring them down. So why is it wrong when a non-toxic player gets upset at that person's words, that they get banned and not the person creating the negative vibe. It makes no sense to punish someone who didn't start the negativity. It makes no sense how you can just agitate people and expect them not to say anything back, were human and anger is a natural emotion and to say you have to control it and just mute is unfair to the players who never say anything back and get flamed and riot just expects us to take the verbal abuse and report them. When they probably won't get banned anyways.

No... Riot expexts you to mute them so you don't have to deal with verbal abuse past that point. Rhen you have the option to report the player post game. Which may lead to a punishment that you may not get a notification was issued because you are not entitled to knowing.

Because as soon as “victim” starts flaming in chat, they’re no longer a “non toxic player.”

You also mention that players are just expected to take abuse and toxicity and not say anything backC and that the abuser will go unpunished, but that the second someone else flames they’re more likely to get punished than the instigator. So is it easy or hard to get punished?

All you need to know is this, if you say something rude/negative, you stand a chance of getting punished, no matter what the other person said before.

You may not realize this, but it is indeed possible for both sides of a dispute to get punished. The aggressor will get punished for their antagonizing, and the other person will get punished for retaliating (And not having the wisdom to just mute the aggressor instead of argue with them)

Instigating is not the only toxic behavior. By that definition, anyone who is "instigated" to steal something because "the advertising made me want it" shouldn't be punished.

It's different when it happens constantly and it's specifically directed at you for no reason, when you're just playing the game.
