I love this game but after 10 years of I've had at least 10 accounts banned and over 50k hours of my life wasted. I'm not a toxic person or at least I try not to be but when you get toxic players in every game flamming and cussing you out and you say one thing to them and get banned. riot doesn't care about NA at all I promise you. Korean servers rarely ban their players. I'm not trying to justify my potty mouth. but 9 times out of ten I'm defending myself or a teammate. is that justified probably not? I just wish riot didn't ban accounts for typing after all my years and loyalty to the game it means nothing to them. been a dedicated fan since I had a laptop and a touchpad playing poppy before the rework. point is I love this game and i will always but the punishments are too harsh for using your freedom of speech if it's such a problem then take their chat away then if they troll still and then perma ban. out of all the games, I've played this game is by far the best and worst. best idea worst community around it. worst staff worst policies from the NA perspective. how can Koreans legit do the same things and not get as harsh punishments. I love this game ill say it once again but at a point enough is enough im done being taken for granted as a customer it seems all they want is my money. I refuse to play a game that is so biased. either take chat out of the game or stop banning people for them expressing themselves its a GAME at the end of the day and we are PEOPLE . not robots, not apes PEOPLE or did you forget riot. that's all this was just me venting enjoy your life's league fans I love you all I hope your league experience goes better than mine has ..

After getting kicked out 10 times, I don't think it is so much as you are quitting as much as it is you finally understand they told you to leave.

You don't get banned for muting people, which is defending yourself. You don't get banned for opting out of Ally chat. You get punished for retaliating.

I think you are a toxic person if 10 accounts have been banned, thats potentially nearly 50 warnings to change... If you failed every single time then you certainly are toxic

You are playing on Riots game, Riot can decide what can and cant be said. If they dont want players on their own game saying certain words then they have every right to ban them and remove them from the game. Its just the same as being asked to leave a property irl, they own it and can control what goes on there.

either take chat out of the game or stop banning people for them expressing themselves

Chat is a key part of the game, pros dont play the game in silence so why shouldnt normal players have a way to communicate with allies. Removing chat would take out so many team aspects of the game and just turn it into a FFA.

You are allowed to express yourself, just not in a way that creates a negative playing environment for others.

its a GAME at the end of the day and we are PEOPLE . not robots, not apes PEOPLE

and no one wants to play a game where they get excessively attacked and abused in chat simply for being unfortunate enough to have the wrong teammate.

10 years and over 50k hours of your life? I mean, I hate to say this, but this sounds like you may have a bit of a problem. And I say that as somebody who is on the computer constantly. But I do plenty of different things on the computer. Some things more productive, some less; and I'll gladly admit I do far too much unproductive shit.

But even I can see that it cannot be healthy to pour close to 14 hours a day into one particular video game. Even if you were a streamer or pro player and actually earned your money through LoL I wouldn't consider this healthy.

Maybe this latest permaban is a good opportunity for you to take a step back and think about some things. Especially if you stick to your decision to quit.

This is just me nitpicking... but we actually are apes. The term includes humans.

hey mods its time to close this thread. op clearly talks bs sayign stuff like "i wont talk to you" but keeps answering saying stuff like "i quit this game" but keeps defending his ways in the game insulting people and other regions left and right and shows no interest in any discussion, just wants to find people that agree with his point of view.

not to mention op seems to want things that are alrdy in the game (remove chat, you can do that. game only wants your money, actually nope its 100% f2p)

If you got banned you deserve it. I am really drifting away from this game, because I dont find it fun anymore. The meta right now has stripped all my fun nothing wows me really anymore its just "oh he just got one shot" 'oh my teammate mental boomed so now we lose"

I mean, I recently got a chat restriction and felt the same way, but I still got the idea that the line is somewhere closer than I thought it was before. I wouldn't just keep typing negative borderline messages and act all surprised when I continue getting punishments for the same behavior to the point where I've gotten 10 accounts permanently banned. Freedom of speech doesn't hold when you're on someone else's property using their services. A company has the right to ban you from their services. It's the same as getting permanently banned from a McDonald's because you called an employee a slur.

For the record yes LoL is a game but just like any game (real or virtual) people play it to have fun and generally don't like it when someone is consistently being disruptive. Even in professional sports (including esports) players who consistently act up are penalized which can include being removed from the game either temporarily or permanently. Not only that but players who develop a reputation of having an attitude problem end up having that overshadow their actual skill, which in turn makes it harder for them to find people to play with them. Pro LoL player Dardoch is a prime example of that, as he constantly bounced from team to team due to his reputation for having an attitude problem despite being skilled at the game itself. If you can't handle being held accountable for your actions then just stick to single-player games.
