@Riot: Why is lag more of an offesnse than toxicity?

So I have a slow computer. Really slow. On medium graphics and no sound, I get 7-10 fps and 70-150 ping.

And occasionally my computer glitches on the loading screen. Everyone will be at 100% but the game won't start, so I have to close out of it and try again. This happened in a ranked match, and by the time I got back into the game, it was at ~6:35. I was mid AurelionSol against a mid Swain. Enemy was super fed. I get flamed at all match, by two different players, one of which called me a troll, and the other kept saying "Report Aurelion for inting," while I was 1/3 and two levels up on our jungler, despite the jungler being there all game. When I asked "How am I inting/a troll?" I got no response, probably because they blocked me (who cares what the person you're flaming has to say?)

Of course, we lost.

I get 20 min leaverbuster, despite that game being my first afk in a while, and they get nothing.

Could someone please explain to me why players with slow computers/internet are more prone to punishment than toxic players? Thank you in advance.

Because you made the conscious choice to risk the gameplay experiences of 9 other players knowing that you have a terrible computer.

Toxicity on the other hand can oftentimes just be tilted players, in this case tilted because you afk'd for six minutes.

A 20 minute leaver buster isn't a first offense punishment, keep that in mind.

Lag isn't more offensive: LeaverBuster won't get you permanently banned. Toxicity will. If you reported them, that behavior is on their record until (and unless) sufficient good behavior clears it.

That said, it also sounds like your computer may not be able to handle League efficiently, and, ultimately, it is your choice to risk the gaming experience of 9 other players knowing that these issues remain unsolved.

You can't be certain they didn't get a punishment. The notification system is whack at best.

Because of how it sounds it happens, your team can't even remake (something that Riot should look more into).

Define in a while by amount of games. Punishment for LB is based on games and not time.

You can still play well if you are toxic. You can't play well if you are afk.

Send your specs to Riot support: https://support.riotgames.com and ask them if there is a way to improve your gaming experience.

I also don't believe you when you say "you haven't left in a while". I guarentee you AFKed / left within the past 10 games.
