Honor Level from 5 to 1 and why this system is broken

My Game... Constantly have been rising in honor with many games being the most honorable. Not because I carried, but because I usually try to keep my team focused on objectives without insulting or being aggressive. I got honor level 5 several months ago and have since gotten 2 level 5 orbs. Today I played a game where my top and mid refused to play with me because I picked an off-meta jungle in a draft game. My jungle was invaded all game and the enemy jungle kept insulting me etc. My team blamed me for their lanes roaming to invade and killing me, even still I had 5 kills and 1 assist when my team had 7 kills as the jungle. I never swore, but I was definitely getting tilted and calling out my mid and top for ignoring invades since the beginning of the game.

My Grief... Now I'm chat restricted and my honor level went from 5 to 1. I can live with the chat restriction even if I can't talk to my team now in ranked, but that fact that after having so many positive games this season I'm not being stopped from getting my honor reward is insane. If honor was easy to level I could understand, but it takes months of playing to get back to level 5 once my honor stops being locked.

My Solution... Why in the world does Riot punish 'good' players for one or two bad games. What's the point of the honor system having these several levels if one bad game will make all the games prior meaningless. There NEEDS to be a system that weighs both of the positive and negative of a player. It's really not that hard, every forum has this in the form of up-voting or liking and down-voting or disliking. The end result will be positive if you're mostly a positive influence and negative if you're a negative influence. Chat restrictions and bans shouldn't affect your honor level when it's supposed to be a culmination of all your previous games and your behavior across those games. Punishments and honor should be two separate things. Obviously repeat offenses can be handled differently or honor locking with a punishment is fine, but it shouldn't change the reputation/honor level that a player has worked hard to increase.

Uh.. the behavioral system already does what you suggest.

Unless you used zero tolerance phrases, you don't get punished for 1 game. There has to be a recent build up of toxicity before you get punished.

Imo it should only go down to level 2 if you were level 3+ for chat restricts as it is kinda BS to deny people the season rewards just for getting a singe chat restriction at an unlucky time.

if you read the multiple posts on the forums about mild chat restrictions on chatlogs similar to yours. a good number of them have copied and pasted responses from player behavior specialists and they all say that chat is not meant for insulting people, bothering teammates with complaints and whining and commentary about how bad you think people are doing and that it's meant to be a method of coordinating with your team and creating a cooperative environment. riot seems to be saying "if you aren't using it for the purposes of working with your teammates, don't chat."

you have never been honor 5. Do not lie. Pretty much every player i play with is honor 5, every game i play i see when people have honorable circles, they all are honor 4 or 5. I have had chat restriction, i have had leaver suspension, im honor 5 since start of the year already. Do not lie, and honor system needs no fixes, those who are honor 0 and 1, they deserve to be there.
