Riot do something about players saying "gg ez"

Please, it is a trend that has to stop. Either take example on Blizzard and replace "gg ez" with a funny sentence or something, or ban them. You have no idea how it can make trigger players (yes, me included) and I have been banned before for answering to them. Yes I deserve the penalty because I was harsh to them, but really, it would soften your community.

It is clearly unsportsmanlike. Thank you.

Now you can spam "gg ez" on this forum if it makes you feel better.

Such issues could be solved by having a user controlled text banning.

Don't like gg ez? Okay, add "gg ez" to the personal auto-hide dictionary.

try to respond on every "gg ez" with 'ez just like your mum' , that way you won't get triggered because you'll know that you might even be his dad.... [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

When I stomp someone I try to always say GGWP mostly because I want them to feel less bad about a bad game, ggez is kinda bm and when you are already frustrated at a bad game it really hurts.

I didn't think about it as being that big of a deal before, but after reading all the comments it's clear to me that the people who tend to type it a lot just want to trigger a reaction out of you. If they want to figuratively kick someone while they are down for a video game win it's probably because they have an inferiority complex in everything else they do.

To that I say this, have you never been on an Xbox live or Playstation, playing games like call of duty, and argued with people? Sure yeah people get mad but it was fun. We have gone so far now where people are afraid to be offended and the reporting tool is more to try and get people you don't like banned, moreso then players who should actually Be banned. If you don't like it, mute is an option. Grow a thicker skin. If you get so mad on this, imagine what happens when someone makes you mad at work or ya know, in real life.

This is something that Overwatch does. When someone types "ggez" the game replaces it with a phrase like "Mommy says I'm too old to suck my thumb." This concept is a great idea that Riot should take a look into. Also whoever the 34 people that disliked Mosezs's post you're the kind of insecure low elo player that says gg ez when you go 0/10 and win.

I agree with this post. Gg ez or even worse than that the constant "ez" spam in all chat throughout the game. Once someone starts I mute them but the starting effect is still there. It's not really offensive it's just bm and irritating. Feels especially when the enemy that you were beating all game starts winning because of his team carrying him . Then starts spamming "ez win" or " ez top/ mid etc . .." or " better jgl/bot. . . Etc wins". It's not a huge deal and there are always more ways to piss people off /tilt them through all chat that aren't necessarily "toxic" in a bannable way. It would just be nice if the community could grow up and come up with something more fresh atleast.

Something needs to be done about the league community in general. Like, I understand that some attitude is to be expected in a game where you have to rely on your team so much but, seriously, lol is the most toxic community I've ever had the displeasure of playing in. In each of the 6 years I've been playing, I find myself taking breaks for months at a time just because I get annoying and triggered from all the salt. Honestly, I'd say its the biggest problem with the game right now. Chat and pings are very useful to how this game is played. I recommend harsher and/or more reliable and penalties. I hate having to mute people every game. Its a video game, its supposed to be fun and seeing someone get verbally abused or trolled and getting verbally abused or trolled myself in 95+% of games isn't exactly fun.

I think it's good to do something about it because triggered people only get more triggered en then start up a new game which becous they are so triggered will flame in again and so the cycle continious banning is a little ambisious but at least do something like not making it spammeble
