A large reason why the no "Name and Shame" rule exists is to protect innocent players from being attacked. A troll could very easily make a post claiming that a certain player was toxic when in reality they are innocent. This could get players to attack and harass someone who is completely innocent all because a troll made a post about that player being toxic.

Also, photoshopping is fairly easy these days, so they could add a fake image as "evidence" to make it even more compelling that an innocent player is toxic.

That should be self-explanatory. How would you feel if you got "shamed" for making a post this arrogant and useless? Not that you likely thought about it at all before posting it, or have any shame in the first place.

  1. Not everyone surfs Boards.

  2. Shaming people on Boards won't solve anything at all.

  3. Can be abused for bullying innocent players instead.

Do you mean people in game, or people on the forums?

people in game will either not care and stop accepting request from strangers, or they'll change their summoner name.

People on the forums can just make a smurfposting account

regardless it's pretty immature to try to rally people to shame someone.

Only works reasonably well in small communities where the shamed person can respond to the accuser in defense. The court of law is basically built upon this premise, which is why additional stipulations are added in larger communities.
